They are sentient beings from a far off world, though from where we have yet to learn. They sport four sets of eyes, two of which that have scelra and a pupil, and one bellow each eye that are entirely pupil-less. Most Yan sport a large beak of sorts, and small ears that are usually tipped black. Various parts of their body flow like clouds and disappear, giving them a mystical appearance. The rims of their ears are distinctly dark in color, making them cat-like in appearance.
Within our current culture we've taken up dueling our Yan's with one another (with consent and safely of course!) as a sport of sorts. During duels a Yan will face another Yan in the hopes of raising their stats and leveling up to their next level (each won battle raises one's rank)
Yan owners with high-ranked Yan's in their flock can earn priceless prizes, so keep at it!Like Humans, not all Yans look alike and due to some selective breeding we've made unique looking Yans. Here's a guide to the most common and most rare of edits or variations.
Common
Fur edits - Tail edits - Scales - Extra feathers/patches of fur - Beak edits/variations
Uncommon
Ear edits - Nails on front paws - Horns of any kind - Glowing eyes - Eye edits(no pupil/scelra, etc.)
Designer
Two or more tails - Thinner/thicker body type - Longer neck - Longer legs
Legendary
Wings - Magic/glowing body parts - More than four eyes - Eyes on body - More than four legs - Two heads or more
IMPORTANT RULE
** If you win a wild Yan you must put it in your gallery/color it in so I
can place their stats bellow them, just so the original thread isn't littered with
level up messages and stat updates.
In a way it'll be like how you have your starter Yan - it'll just make it easier to know when you
claim stat points and tracking your Yan will be easier.
- You cannot edit your post when you reply with a scenario form.
Any edits will disqualify you, same with an incomplete or non-edited scenario form.
- All scenario forms come with two to three choices per action. You cannot make up
your own action - it would be counted as wrong if it differs from the scenario form.
- Yan can have up to four fur colors ONLY. Anything extra like
nails, eyes, tongues, blood color ect. that does not count as fur can be
multiple colors or different from the fur color.
- There is no limit to how many Yan you can have in your flock.
- You may not sell any of your Yan for USD, or currency of any kind.
- The first Yan you start out (beginner Yan) with cannot be traded unless
for another starter/beginner Yan from another user.
- You may only trade a Yan after you've owned it
for 24 hours (this includes starter Yans).
- You many only have one starter Yan a person.
- You are not allowed to change the stats of your Yan yourself
or edit their lineart in any way unless given permission.
To start your adventure go here to be appointed your first Yan! You'll be able to choose your favorite style of Yan and begin your adventure. Each basic Yan starts out with average stats between 6 & 30 rolled randomly for each trait.
You will be able to catch, breed, and trade Yan's to create your own flock of Yan!
To strengthen your Yan you can duel another player's Yan, as long as they're the same level as your Yan of course.
Dueling has yet to be implemented, as well as breeding and trading. These features will come soon! I just need to judge how XP and levels will work before I can do this stuff haha~To catch a wild Yan go to the "colored in" section of this page and select any Yan that has the sign "catch me" on it!
To catch a wild Yan you MUST own at least one Yan already (your starter Yan) and you must complete a scenario written by the artist of the Yan. If you complete this scenario form correctly the first try you will win the Yan! If not, you will not be able to try for the Yan again.
This being said, you cannot edit your scenario sheet once it's posted - each scenario is different and the user who completes the sheet correctly first will win over the heart of that wild Yan!(for Yan artists to post with their scenario)- Code: Select all

Username:
Representative Yan: (starter or yan you own to be in the scenario)

Write scenario here with options within [these] separated with / < dashes.
wipDueling is a consensual act between two parties that is used to strengthen each other's Yan.
With each Duel a Duel Master (overseer or staff of Yan adopts controlling said duel) will randomly select two deviations to make the duel a bit harder.
Examples; Each Yan has a --% chance of missing when they attack, selected by a random number generator.
Each Yan has a --% chance of causing one/five HP of damage to themselves when they attack.
etc. (i'm still figuring out other ideas rip)
Each duel will start with the first deciding factor; who attacks first.
If a Yan's Agility is higher than it's opponent they will usually attack first unless the Duel Master selects a deviation that alters that. If their Agility is equal a coin will be flipped to decide regardless of what type of deviation is made.
Strength is your Yan's attack power. The number directly relates to how much damage you will do when your Yan's hit lands.
Vitality or HP is your Yan's total health. If they reach 0 or under during a duel they will lose the duel.
Regardless if you win or loose your Yan will gain progress on whatever level they're on.
That duel will be placed in your Yan's Battle Log which should be posted bellow them.
1-5 weak | 6-30 average | 31-100 strong | 101+ godly
A = Agility
S = Strength
C = Charisma
V = Vitality/Health
Natures
Cautious; Permanently increases Vitality stat by five
Outgoing; Permanently increases Charisma stat by five
Bold; Permanently increases Strength stat by five
Skittish; Permanently increases Agility stat by five
Max amount of points for Agility, Strength, and Vitality = 500
Max amount of points for Charisma = 100
