It's the start of a new school semester for many, so how about some koi keychains for a little luck?

If you do not come from the adoptable, please do not post or enter!
This is part of an event, and it'd be useless for you to win something you can't use.

Main Thread | Aqua Event Thread

Semi-custom koi keychains! You can colour one, and get the chance to have your drawing turned into an actual item which can be hung on jars that you own as jars decorations!

This is 100% free to enter, and if your koi(s) get(s) picked, you get it/them for free.
You do not need to be able to use the oekaki to enter.

Image
Your entry will be disqualified if these rules are broken.

You must have at least one jar to enter. Please do not enter if you do not know what that is or do not have one.
One colour per pixel. On the big version, 1 pixel is a 5x5 square.
Please add me to the edit list so that I can get colours and zoom in properly :B

You may:
Change the colour of the outline. ☜
Enter as many times as you'd like! ☚
Please don't:
☛ Steal other people's designs.
☞ Claim the art :B

Read on for how to enter!

For colour-ins with the oekaki:
I've copied everything into this oekaki for you to colour in. There is a 1-1 original-sized pixel version, on the right, and another version that has been enlarged 5 times on the left. You may colour either sized one, or both. If you don't have the time, it'll only take a couple of seconds to colour the small one.

Don't know how to colour in?
    > Click on the "color me in" button (Image), next to the "post reply" button.
    > On the layer you're on, hit "lock alpha" (Image), and make sure it's checked. This step is optional, but it'll really help you!
    > Use the pen tool, and set the brush size to 1. Then, zoom in to the place you want to draw, and colour the image! If you hit lock alpha, you can only colour the grey area + the outline, so you don't have to worry about going out of the lines.
    > Once you've posted the image, please add me to the edit list by entering "Tubla" into the field and hitting "add":
    Image
That's it!

If you use another program:
Take the oekaki's image above (Image) and edit it. Do not use the images in the "winners" post, and you should be all set c: Just upload + post the coloured image, white background and all. If you don't know how to host an image, let me know.

Entering without colouring at all:
If for some reason you can't make one in yourself, then you may post a picture of a design(s) you want, or describe it to me as best as you can, and I'll enter it for you. If you'd like to find a specific colour, I'd suggest using this website c:

I seem to be very bad at explaining, so have this FAQ.

What makes a koi "win"?
Design, and if you're mostly following the rules or not. Also how original it is compared to other entries, but less so.

Are you (not) looking for any designs in particular?
This is not a "judging competition" which is based on my personal preference; as you've probably noticed it's quite easy to win. However, I'll definitely be more inclined to make your entry if it has an original theme (for example, rainbows have been done a lot), or if it's design on the small fish is particularly noticeable from afar, since that's how pixeling works c:

I don't like "eyeburner" colours - mainly just "default"/max brightness/neon colours (with the exception of greyscale), like this, this, and this. If you are using them, it doesn't really matter since I will probably end up changing them slightly, as most people can't look at them for very long either.

NUMBERS (a collection of numerical answers to questions)
You can win as many kois as you make!
You can add as many kois to a string as you'd like, as long as you own them.
You can only use one koi once (on one jar).

2FrostyPaws has won a koi!

Again, a reminder about the one colour per pixel rule. This means that

I use a different art program...
Somebody has to go polish the stars,
They're looking a bit dull.
Somebody has to go polish the stars,
For the eagles and starlings and gulls
Have all been complaining they're tarnished and worn,
They say they want new ones we cannot afford.
So please get your rags
And your polishing jars,
Somebody has to go polish the stars.

Oekaki is not compatible with my Java even though I've updated it to the required version, so I had to use a different art program. Cx

so I thought
"this isn't some trashy school project which takes up so much time and effort and achieves absolutely nothing"

I've decided that this time around, as long as you followed the rules, you passed.
