What are Vaikams?

With four ears along with a glowing mouth and eyes, it would make sense to conclude these creatures come from an entirely different planet. Though, surprisingly, that isn't the case. On an expedition to the rainforest, a group of scientists found what they believed to be a dog-like creature of sorts, which they assumed had run from its owner and had found itself lost. When these scientists got closer, however, they realized that they had found a different species entirely! Though the creature seemed shocked about these scientists finding it, the creature showed no hostility towards the group, and instead acted quite playful.
After this expedition, scientists all over the world begun finding these creatures, and begun to take them back to their homes, where they begun to pop up in adoption centers. Now, it's quite common to spot one of these creatures on the street or in a local animal shelter!
As the creatures grew in popularity, the original scientists that discovered the species gave them the name of Vaikams, though they are more commonly known as Vaiks.

✘ trading is allowed within the species, but not outside the species. so basically, you cannot trade a vaikam for another species. please note the archivist if you trade.
✘ gifting is allowed. please note the archivist if you gift.
✘ vaikams are only allowed to be fursonas if you get permission from an owner
✘ readoptions are allowed if approved by the original artist
✘ any person may only own 15 vaikams, unless specified otherwise by an owner
✘ you may not sell your vaikam for any type of real or fake currency
✘ you may not change any aspect of your vaikam's design unless specified otherwise by an owner
✘ i reserve the right to add or remove any rules as needed
