SINCE I CAN'T DRAW MY OWN SPECIES...
Yeah so basically the main Kalon adopts lines is waaay off how they're SUPPOSED to be... the current lines make 'em look wolf-like (I agree, CS salt blog anon). Much too canine-like. They're not tall, they don't have such long slender legs or doggish paws, and their hair is just a tuft on top with fluffyish neck.
They're MEANT to be closer to the structure of a fossa, with shorter legs and tinier paws, and have a poofier mane. They are Eupleridae, after all.
I hope to update the lines at some point to match what they're meant to look like. For now, I need to practice making them look more fossa-like.

I don't know if you want any tips, but since I tend to struggle with leg proportions I figured I might offer up what I do: I usually look at skeletons of whatever I'm basing the legs on and compare the length of each part (especially femur to tibia), making note of which parts are longer/shorter, and also note where the knee falls compared to the elbow and the belly line.
Anyways, I think kalons already look amazing, and I think it's very cool that you're looking into changing the lines to make them suit your concept of them better!
