gonna put my notes right here, don't mind me.
mascot name ideas: Malia ( pm me if you've got a suggestion. )
- Bashmoor Curly Ponies, commonly shortened to Bashmoors, are a lean, medium sized breed of horse / pony. They consist of approximately 50% Bashkir Curly, 40% Exmoor Pony, and 10% Icelandic Horse. They have fine, soft coats, with wavy hairs. Their manes and tails are extra fine, and can fall in ringlets, loose waves, or very tight curls. Their heights range from roughly 12.3hh, to 15.3hh for studs and geldings, and 11.3hh to 14.3hh for mares. Very short, or very tall Bashmoors are rare, and may appear on special occasions. This breed originates from the British Isles. They came about when a shipment of Icelandic Horses and Bashkir Curlies crashed and freed the horses into the islands, and they bred with the native Exmoors. They are generally quite healthy, with no known breed-specific health issues. Bashmoor Curly Ponies are a very multi-talented breed of horse / pony. They are known to commonly participate in dressage, general riding, and work, such as pulling carts. They do not tend to have any defining personality traits, but are often hardworking and curious, though this most definitely does not stand for every horse / pony. One of the things making them such a popular breed is their ability in not just the four most basic gaits - walk, trot, canter, and gallop - but also tölting, due to being part Icelandic. Due to being largely Bashkir Curly, they are able to have any coat or pattern that naturally occurs.

- Every 50 ( or 100? ) there will be a Bashmoor with an irregular height, possible edits, and a rarer gene. ( chimeric, brindle, somatic, etc. ) Artists who wish to do a "special number" reserve the number they'd like beforehand, and just post a cover / the finished Bashmoor when the number comes. Same applies for bigger holidays ( Christmas, Halloween, Hanukkah, etc. )
- Me, Gator, Amny, and any other staff who wish to help will be working on some special, breed-specific genes.
- We'll probably have some sort of system in which every staff member will receive a gift Bashmoor on their birthday from an artist, but not know which artist it will come from. And we'll have a way for them to send in 3 coats & markings they like, and 3 they dislike. There will be no official birthday gifts for members though, sadly, because the only other species I've seen do that ended up closing it due to greed with genes, and people getting missed, which was not fun.
- We'll have competitions in which you make art or write to earn points which can be spent on prizes, ranging from wild Bashmoors, to a guaranteed gene pass in a breeding, to items and body edits if the artist is comfortable doing them.
- There will be a Winter Carnival during Christmas break, in which you can earn tickets and spend them on limited-edition items.
- There may be another option for people who don't have time to enter competitions or the carnival; adventures. You will have a random chance to receive items, edits, points, or nothing.
- There will be a companion breed of sorts; Gator and me are working on a Portuguese Water Dog rpg and some puppies born with "faults" will be adopted out to the community.
confirmed artists: Stumpy, Warg, Bears, Amny, Gator, Band, Tynahi, Vin, & Husky.
confirmed archivist: Chem.
people to notify of opening: Soul Of Winter, & Ariana Black. ( pm me if you want to be notified of opening. )
