What are Nautilus foxes?

Nautilus Foxes, named for their curled, spiraling manes that represent a nautilus shell, are a tropical wetland species, more akin to otters and muskrats then foxes. Their Curly fur is thick and water proof, and their tails are thick and heavily muscled. They have small webbing in between their three toes.

Because their fur is so thick, and their tropical climate, they would get overheated easily, if not for their big ears, used to help them cool down. They also have small, hooked claws used for climbing trees, in which they make their nests.

Nautilus foxes most often have warmly colored pelts, with lighter markings around their eyes and legs. They have sharp, serrated teeth for catching fish and frogs.
