A Geiger (more info in description cos yes)

This creature is called a Geiger. Get ready for unnecessarily complicated explanations about them and how things work.
It's called a Geiger because of the noise it makes to communicate and do various other things, which sounds like a Geiger Counter, and because of it's origins as a species.
It's origin dates way back in 2077 (yes, we are dealing with spoopy futuristic things here) during a global nuclear war. Animals believed to be kangaroos, goats, and one or two or maybe even three (three!!! :0) other unidentifiable animals were basically fused together due to high radiation levels from fallout that came from atomic bombs and stuff. Several different versions of this species roamed the Earth, but when one had been captured and genetically modified by humans, the others' populations began to dwindle. (the rest is under construction still)
There are three subspecies. This one is the common species, also known as the Lesser Geiger.
The more uncommon subspecies, the Greater Geiger, has a pair of mechanical wings and have the ability to shoot a dense beam of elemental energy from it's mouth. Although the energy beam has its ups, it also has its downs. While that asset is great and all for defense and offence, it also messes with the genetic structure of the Geiger, which means many Geigers are born with deformities and conditions. That makes a Greater Geiger that has almost no genetic flaws harder to find than a Geiger with flaws.
The last subspecies, the Armored Geiger, is rare and elusive. But, even with next to no sightings, Armored Geigers are known to be notoriously dangerous. Heck, just one Armored Geiger managed to destroy a whole city. And, even with barely any evidence, it is believed that Armored Geigers live in closely bonded packs, much like wolves. There have been several sightings of groups of Armored Geigers hunting together and playing. This wolf-like behavior has led many to believe that Geigers are related to wolves, although the Armored subspecies being the only ones to display this behavior. But, even as wild and dangerous they may be, some people have managed to domesticate some of these rare creatures. But in captivity, Armored Geigers act mellow and lazy, insisting you go get the ball if you throw it for them to go fetch. This means that scientists can't study their natural habits and such.
Now, about the Geiger's features and what they're for. First off, the screen tells us and other Geigers how loud or soft the noises a Geiger is making. But, deaf Geigers have a special gene that lets them "read" what the other Geiger is saying on their screen. Geigers that can hear can practice this but never perfect it like deaf Geigers can.
The small vent under the Geiger's screen is used to breath and expel gaseous waste products. Geigers must clear the vent out every day or else it gets clogged up until the Geiger can't breathe anymore. Luckily, cleaning the vents is an automatic function. Unfortunately, though, Geigers must have access to water to be able to do this. How do they use water to clear out their vents? Well, they first they drink the water through the vent. The water then goes down a special tube that leads to a heated chamber just beneath their diaphragm and above their stomach and other internal organs. The water is then boiled into a really hot steam, which is then exhaled, but not all the way. The Geiger then inhales it into their lungs. By then, the steam has cooled down a bit, but still remains as a gas. The Geiger then exhales quickly, creating a high-pitched whistling sound. Things like mucus and stuff come out in small amounts if the Geiger is healthy. If a Geiger is constantly trying to clear it's vents, it is most likely sick. Sick Geigers have stuff leaking out of their vents, like how sick humans have runny noses when they're sick. If a Geiger isn't sick, then it probably got something stuck in it's vent, like for example, a feather, and is trying to get it out.
(also still under construction))
(I'm making this an adoptable when I'm not feeling especially lazy ))
((pls be patient))
