Oh, Hello There!

Sweetstuff crept from his hiding space, nose twitching. Something smelled good! Spring had come, and it brought with it a multitude of interesting scents with it... each morning was a new bouquet for his sensitive nose! But this morning was different. It smelled... sweet. He was careful as always not to be seen, but it seemed that this morning, he wasn't the only one hiding! Little candy eggs, chocolate eggs, and painted eggs surrounded him in the garden. Were they hiding too? And if so, from whom? Sweetstuff crept forward slowly, and was surprised by a little peep. Whiskers quivering, he approached the little creature making the sound. The tiny thing cried out again, and his heart melted like chocolate left too long in the sun. Sweetstuff knew that this little creature didn't mind what he was, all it wanted was the same as he did - a new friend! Sweetstuff smiled peacefully, hidden among the other brightly colored things in the garden.
