~History~

It started in 1705 in Ethiopia, Africa on a hot summer's day. A hunter had been on the look out for animals for the zoos in Europe only to find that he didn't like what he saw for zebras when within a herd of them he found a few equids that looks more like modern day horses then zebras but with the stripped patterns and long flowing manes and tails. Well with the new stock to take to circuses to allow for entertainment purposes they soon spread to small monarchs territories as their fames grew. But what the man didn't know was what was hiding in their DNA and what could be found in their mountain cousins in the highlands of Ethiopia and certain locations at Kilimanjaro.

Around 1855 though there were protests to the abuse of people and the animals and so the equines were sent off to farms and royality that could afford to take care of them. With this new age the Dole's were bred to Draft horses in hopes that they would make better work animals with fancy looking coats. With some success the breed flourished but just barely their fame and past quickly faded into the 19th century. It took a few teenagers with some saved up money from good investments in search of a new start to pull the breed back together. A few at first with what they could find with purer blood relations to those found in 1705.. With this they went on to the Carpathian mountain range in Bulgaria to set out a wide spread farm for the animals...

1930's was when the Dole's earned their new breed name by their owners even if not official as mustang blood was introduced to the breed. Making them strong, agile, light drafts that ranges anywhere from 13.3 hhs to 16.3 hhs(Hands high). Their coats varying from paint markings to stripes to normal equine colors they were once again brought back into the lime light after another quest to Africa landed them with a few winged decendants of what they hoped was Pegasus. This brought more favor and a possible fever as other teens and adults searched for a mare or stud to bring home at the carnival that happens twice a year and the smaller sales..

~Rules~

1. Don't beg (meaning I or the artists making will get to the design if it takes longer then normal message me and I will look into it)

2. Closed species so don't make any that aren't yours to make (no fakes those are for artist contests only)

3. Limit will be 10 that includes foals (customs may or may not fall under this depending on how out of control it might get)

4. Can only win two a day with the exception of the rare winged ones those can only be won once monthly

5.Please do not spam, be rude to staff or others, or argue. what I say or those I ask to mod say goes if I think something is unfair I will step in. If I don't catch it more then welcome to send a me a note but don't harass people in the public forums

6.There is only five slots for breeding allowed so chose wisely in the future there may be more but until then only five.

7. You may not sell your Dolestangs and trading must be brought to my attention along with said artist after I have given the go ahead for it. If you are not sure you may let us chose who it gets readopted out to. Also there may in the future to keep with store some readoption events so keep a look out.

8. Don't beg for slots from the group's herd (they will have more slots yes but they are more as in gifts for those that earn it)

9. If you wish to breed them to another breed you must hit me up first an get permission from other breed's maker before anything can be decided. I have only other breed I allow so far to breed with the dolestangs and you will find out more when I get this more up to date.

10. Before it gets lost Please keep requests for breeding slots to ims/fanclub/ and possibly streams (last one iffy) and to go with this one after being made weather a starter or breeding will take up to two weeks before being allowed to breed.

I will add remove and change these rules when I see fit.

Doles aren't just for looks they are being used in mainstream events and being used at home on farms and as lesson horses.

Because Doles are so intelligent and gentle they can be found helping teach children or adults how to ride or just for pleasurable rides without the worry of them bolting on you. They are also used for turning field or pulling carts. Some are even used to make paths when snow is to deep to look for lost people.
