Okay question- How unoriginal would lava lamp dogs (or other stuff) be? cause like I don't wanna copy anything before I finalize this (I need to do something on this site at least besides trying in vain to win a closed species adopt

..I do this instead of my one commission, of course

I dont think they've made lava lamp dogs yet, put there are a bunch of adopts where they have the whole see-through look. Like aquarium dogs and jar dogs.

I think it could be interesting if it was more than just the lava lamp that would be changed on the dog, maybe a different tail or ears? c:

Sadly Lava lamp dogs where a big thing a while back. In all honesty they where a bit different though, "Lava Lamp Dogs" (the already created version of this species genre) had collars with lava lamp goo, Their spit, tail and eyes where also made of said same goo. I don't know how big they are now but if your looking for something completely original this wouldn't be it.

Thank you for the kind words ;w; Gosh, well I guess it could be an OC if nothing else, hah- knew it was kind of a stretch though, cause everybody loves lava lamps

though, tucawt, what did you have in mind? variations with dogs is kinda difficult to establish without being super restrictive (it's not really supposed to be a specific breed or anything)- maybe like webbed bat ears or something similar.

edit; just looked them up and they are pretty gorgeous wow ;w; There was originally a thread over here on CS but it's long since died out- looks like there's a new owner on dA though and semi-active (tbh if there was a new adopt I'd probs try to snag one, very pretty)

Just looked up info on lava lamps and their original or alternative name is astro lamps. I mean I guess that would keep me from copying an already used name if I decided to make a species out of it, but astro man why astro

All I can think of is astro boy did i hate that movie? can't remember honestly

Update: kinda want to go with astro lamps or farolas (mm yea street lamps real creative I know)- if not a big species then a small one at the very least. Got a few other ideas too....
