Q1. What is your full name?
A1. Ugh. No one ever bothers with full names anymore, but if you must know, it's Samson Iyanrin Zimmer.
Q2. What's Zimmer mean?
A2. Are you making fun of my last name with that statement? Or is that a legitimate question? ...Nevermind, I don't care what your answer is. It's of German origin, meaning "room" or "chamber." My ancestors used to be owned by German royals specifically to keep the chambers free of mice, so I guess the last name sprouted from there.
Q3. And what about Iyanrin? What does that mean?
A3. I would ask again if you seriously wanted to know, but I don't want to waste my time hearing your answer. Iyanrin means "desert", and I guess it's a bit exotic, considering it's Yoruba and not many people I meet speak it.
Q4. When were you born?
A4. I was born at 7:49 pm on a Friday, and that's the only answer you're going to get.
Q5. What are your parent’s names?
A5. My father was named Hoheitlich Junge Zimmer, where as my mother was named Katze Stolz Bauer, although she became Zimmer after marrying my father.
Q6. Do you have any brothers or sisters?
A6. I would be happy because I get to say no to this question, but my parents did intend on having another child once upon a time. That never got to happen though, as my mother ended up being sold away.
Q7. What is listening to your voice like?
A7. I don't know why anyone in there right mind would want to listen to my voice. Even I know I sound gruff. I probably scare children away. Not that that's a problem.
Q8. Do you have a favorite quote?
A8. I suppose I do have a favorite quote. I mean, I only really thought about it because it was required. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow said it. “Every man has his secret sorrows which the world knows not; and often times we call a man cold when he is only sad.”
Q9. What sort of music do you enjoy?
A9. I like sad music. It's the realest type of music, because it actually paints a picture of what life is like.
Q10. Have you ever cheated on a partner?
A10. I've never fallen in love, so I never could have cheated on a girl. However, if for some reason someone managed to win me over, I wouldn't cheat on them. Loyalty and honesty is all too important to me.
Q11. Have you ever lost someone close to you?
A11. Like I said, my mother was sold away. We lived with a pretty wealthy family, but the father of that family ended up falling into a lot of debt. They sold my mother to earn money, but after awhile they sold me away as well. I escaped from the cage I was being transported in though, and I've been on my own since.
Q12. What is your favorite sound?
A12. My favorite sound is the sound of rain.
Q13. What is your opinion on euthanasia?
A13. I believe that it is wrong for someone's life to be taken, no matter what the circumstances.
Q14. Are you judgmental of others?
A14. Ha, of course I am! Who isn't?
Q15. What are you like when you stay up all night?
A15. Uh, tired? Duh. I suppose I'm even more irritable than ever.
Q16. Have you ever been arrested?
A16. What? Why on earth would I have ever gotten arrested? I've always followed the law!
Q17. What color evokes strong memories for you?
A17. Grayish blues tend to evoke strong memories for me.
Q18. What do you do on rainy days?
A18. On rainy days, I like to go lay down by the window and just watch the rain fall, as well as listen to it. It's very soothing. I often fall asleep in the process.
Q19. What word do you overuse the most?
A19. I don't really have a word I overuse the most. I do have a phrase though, and that would be "shut up". The only reason I haven't used it in this activity yet is because I'll get yelled at if I do...Sadly.
Q20. What is your most disliked saying?
A20. My most disliked saying would have to be "You see the cup as half empty. I see the cup as half full." Life is full of too many optimistic people, in my opinion.
Q21. What disgusts you?
A21. Overpowering smells of any variety disgust me. No smell should be that strong, and it ends up becoming overwhelming.
Q22. What type of discipline were you subjected to at home? Strict? Lenient?
A22. When my mother was still around, it was a rather lenient discipline. My father didn't pay enough attention to discipline, so my mother always handled it. However, when she left, it became extremely strict, because my father was suddenly caring about every little thing I did.
Q23. Were you overprotected as a child? Sheltered?
A23. Once again, everything was pretty much normal when my mother was around. When it was just my father, he was extremely overprotective. It was ridiculous.
Q24. Did you feel rejection or affection as a child?
A24. I felt a lot of affection as a child, but there was too much from my father. It was to the point where I would rather have been rejected by him.
Q25. What was the economic status of your family?
A25. My owners were semi-rich for a time, before the father went into debt. Then they were trying to do anything they could to get money, dropping to very poor on the food chain.
Q26. How do you see yourself: as smart, as intelligent, uneducated?
A26. I guess I would peg myself as slightly intelligent, compared to some. I'm not very ahead of others though.
