Kevin is the Kirins' "diety." He was the first to exist and, with his gaze, created the foundation for the species.
(He opened his eyes to peer at something, which caused it to become a Kirin. However, his eyes were closed again before he could witness the transformation.)
However, the Kirin diety does not realize that his gaze created the species. Kevin is a hermit, living at the peak of one of the tallest mountains in the Kirin lands. He is severely uncomfortable with the treatment that the others give him, as he knows nothing if his power.
He is rarely seen, so lore often depicts him as being a powerful, majestic, and courageous god rather than the awkward creature he is.
He has a special variation that causes his body to inefficiently use the gemstone that he consumes. As a result, he eats much more gemstone than the average Kirin to fulfill the requirement and his coat twinkles with diamond flecks in the sunlight.
