It was a cold winter's night,
and all through the house-
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse!
My sibling quietly slumbered,
clearly unaware-
Of the danger, it soon would be there.
I crept to their room,
making each step with care-
How light they slept, I was aware.
A paintbrush in my hand,
with an array of colors-
I neared their bed, feet feeling like anchors.
There was no going back,
from what I would do-
Well, I think they deserved it...
