Every Halloween a Skeletal Horror engulfs the black forest.
There is a skeleton dog that has never gotten to enjoy the holiday with his family.
The first time he ventured out to the forest he encountered this sickly looking man.
He wagged his tail and panted for a treat, since he noticed the candy sticking out of the man's pocket.
Little did the poor dog know, it wasn't good but bad candy he carried around with him on Halloween.
The man flicked his fingers and his eyes widened to double the size as he chanted some strange words.
Presto! Like magic there appeared some candles on a long and short candle stand. Next, a bloody zombie
bat with creme filled candies sat right behind him. A medium size plate with grapes, apples, cranberries and ham
was laid out in front of him. He felt the back of his neck feel cold with a light shining down on him. It appeared to
be the man turned into a wolf and was blowing some kind of shiny bubbly spray from his mouth at him. The dog's
eyes turned glassy red, he didn't know it at the time and took a bite of the apple. He thought the man was being
nice and giving him food, candy, a companionship and protection. He started to shake violently and then was frozen
stiff in a sitting position for an hour. When the spell wore off the plate was still in front of him there was a ghost
floating around and the zombie bat was still behind him with candies. Bats were flying above him and the man turned
wolf was gone. However, a shadow of him with light still coming from his mouth like a silhouette figure could be seen in the darkened sky. Call it greed or hopelessness, the dog continued to eat everything and took a great nap. When he had
awaken from his slumber he felt nothing and shrieked in horror as his body was all bones. Suddenly, he noticed there
was just darkness and nothing was around him. The bats above him gone and the zombie bat behind him had disappeared.
He tried to run through the black forest to go back home to his human family. It was in vain, he could not step one paw outside the forest. He was doomed to live without them for eternity. He hung his head low and sulked as he walked through the forest.
It is said that every Halloween thereafter, he can be seen repeating that Skeleton Horror all over again. Will he ever find peace?
