Squips are tiny, semi-amphibious creatures that tend to sport
bright, eye-catching colors to attract, not mates, but caretakers!
They are soft and delicate, and love to be handled, especially if
the handler has a tasty berry or edible leaf for them.
The most colorful species form colonies in which each makes sure
the other Squips are healthy and happy. They communicate with warbling
and chirruping.
Naturally colored Squips and those with camouflaging markings are much
more independent, as well as slower moving to avoid detection. When
handled, they move at an unhurried pace, quietly crawling about.
There are two types of Squips; ruffled and common.
Ruffled squips, as the name indicates, possess a horizontal, flexible
membrane about their body that allows them to glide through bodies of
water with ease.
Common squips, on the other hand, lack this membrane; the membrane
would otherwise hinder their movement on land, as they move through
the plants and trees where they dwell.
- this Squip has semi-dark colors! they appear to be grumpy and don't want to be held, maybe you should try to cheer them up to gain their love?
