Florabit Abyssi translates to Blossom of the Deep in Latin. What is she goddess of?//The deep.Story//Abyssi was a beautiful princess living in an underwater temple. She was granted whatever she desired, and all her fellow Seapups looked up to her. Until one day, her crown started glowing, summoning her to take a turn into the deeper cove. No Seapup had ever gone down there before. She was she must do the will of her crown, no matter what. So she swam deeper and deeper. Until she came upon a cave, facing it with her beauty and grace. She took the risk and swam in. There a rock glowed until a huge ghostly Seapup floated out. Abyssi gasped bubbles floating up from her mouth as the ghostly Seapup said "Florebit, You took my risk. Despite your grace you still felt the need to visit the deep. You are now goddess of the deep. Use your power wisely, and you shall be successful," and as the ghostly Seapup faded Abyssi knew her purpose at last.Cheesy plot whoo!

User// booklover789 Name// Nephthys What is she goddess of?// Protection, death, decay, darkness, and healing powers.Accessories//A crown in the shape of a King Cobra (with small turquoise gems for the eyes and belly), a bar earring, a thick hoop earring, two thick bangles (bracelets), and a necklace with turquoise and amber gems. She also has an anchor with sapphires embedded into it, and a brown rope that holds the anchor to her tail. All of her accessories are pure gold. Story// Nephthys wrote her name in the sand, a stick in her mouth. First a bowl shape, then a rectangle with a smaller rectangle inside of it. And then a tiny half-moon. Next to this she drew a half-moon and a odd egg-shaped picture. She smiled as she flicked her tail, happy with the work she'd done.
The tide rolled in, destroying her piece of art.
Her eyes narrowed as she straightened her crown. Angrily, she stomped back into the ocean, diving beneath the waves. She remembered the first time she realized she could get out of the ocean. She'd swam up to the very tippy top of waves, and her head bobbed above the surface. She paddled over to the shore, and got out. She became dehydrated almost instantly, and leapt back into the water. Time and time again she tried this, until she realized that by keeping her tail firmly anchored in the water, but the front half of her body on the sand, she wouldn't get dehydrated at all! Once she'd perfected this technique, she did her best to visit the shore as often as she could. Most of her days, however, were spent swimming in the depths of the oceans.
Nephthys wasn't always happy. In fact, she could be down-right nasty and mean when her temper got out of control! When she was feeling fine, she'd help those who were hurt and ailing, and she'd protect those closest to her from danger. Her job was to save her father's underwater kingdom from dangerous animals such as barracudas, crocodiles, and sharks. But when she was angry, she destroyed everything she touched, bringing death and destruction to anyone who dared get in her way. The entire city knew when she was having a bad day, as the waves would become more choppy and agitated, and dark clouds would brew over that portion of the ocean, plunging the city into utter darkness.
Nephthys dove under the waves, her anger rolling through her like the changing tides. She growled as she swam after a fish, catching it easily and tearing it apart, shoving the meat into her mouth. She settled down for a nap among the seaweed beds on the ocean floor, and fell asleep, anger still rolling around inside of her like waves.
She blinked slowly, feeling the waters move and change and shift around her. When her eyes were fully open, she was staring into her mother's golden ones. "My child," she said.
Nephthys frowned. "You shouldn't be here. You're dead."
Her mother patted her head gently. Nephthys then realized that her mother was wearing the crown she'd previously possessed! "My child, don't let your anger control you. It will only be for the ruin of your kingdom."
"We both know that Father owns the kingdom, not I."
"Someday my child, you will rule, and your father will instead be at your side. You may be but a small one now, but you will grow to become Queen."
Nephthys tilted her head. "Then how will I rule these measly peasants?"
"Be grateful for the commoners. Don't be spiteful towards them, my child. They love and adore you. If you, in turn, respond to them with harshness and anger, you will never be truly loved, but rather feared."
She hung her head. "Yes, Mother."
"You will do your best to do as I said, yes?"
"Yes, Mother."
"Good. Now, wake!"
Her eyes flew open. Her dream had scared the anger out of her. She breathed in the ocean water deeply, exhaling as slowly as she possibly could as she got a rein on her emotions. As she flitted off towards her father's underwater city, she felt something brushing her head. Her crown was back, as was her necklace and earrings, but that wasn't what she was feeling. Looking up, she spotted a jellyfish. She frowned. "What is it that you want, sea creature? Do you wish to harm my father's city?"
The jellyfish flitted down to her eyes and stared into them.
Nephthys got the feeling that this fish didn't want to harm anyone. She nodded. "Then you may come along. What is your name?"
The fish was silent. Nephthys looked up and saw it was spouting bubbles, and then realized she couldn't understand it. "Write it for me," she commanded.
The fish floated worriedly.
Nephthys looked at the tentacles and realized it could grab a stick to write with. She sat on the sandy bottom of the ocean and thought for a moment before suddenly realizing that she could help this fish communicate. She grabbed a stick and wrote out the entire alphabet. She looked up at the fish. "All right. When I point to a letter, you'll tell me if that's in your name. I'll write down your name over here," she said, turning around to an open patch of sand where she could write. "Okay?"
The fish bobbed up and down happily.
After a few minutes of guessing and scribbling and writing, Nephthys thought she had the jellyfish's name. "Your name is Nakia?"
The jellyfish bobbed up and down, a smile on her face.
"Pleased to meet you, Nakia. I am Nephthys. My father is - " Suddenly, the current shifted, causing her to stop speaking. "What's wrong with the water?" she murmured, turning her attention back to the city. "You'd best keep up, Nakia. I have to see my father." She raced off towards the city, running part of the way and swimming the rest. The jellyfish kept up very well, which surprised the young pup. When she reached the city's limits, she raced inside the palace. "Father!" she said, skidding to a halt before the throne. "What's wrong?"
"My dearest daughter," he said, swimming over to her and hugging her tightly. "I have received a very bad omen. I will fall ill soon, and be unable to take care of this kingdom."
Nephthys looked to her father for guidance, not knowing what else to do as the jellyfish hovered at her side, a worried look upon her face.
"I shall appoint a new ruler of this kingdom now, so as to start training that new ruler for when I do take ill."
Nephthys nodded, suddenly remembering her dream.
"Guards? Gather the city together. This announcement will commence as soon as you're finished."
About twenty minutes later, the guards had successfully rounded up everyone in the city. They all stared at their king as he explained the warning he had received in a dream. Finally, he got to the point where he was to appoint a new ruler. "While this ruler will not take the throne until I am absolutely unable to do so, I would like to appoint this ruler now, so that this being may get a feel for how ruling is to be done, and to learn everything he or she must know." After looking around for some time, the king decided. He looked over at his daughter, and motioned for her to swim forward.
She did as requested. "Yes, your highness?"
He slipped off the bracelets on his wrists, and placed them on hers. "My daughter Nephthys shall be the new ruler of this kingdom."
"So sayeth the king," the guards said in unison, verifying the king's decision.
Nephthys's eyes were wide with wonder as she stared at the folks before her, gathered within her home. She smiled, and bowed to them.
They erupted in glorious applause.
Nephthys knew in that moment that she was fit to rule, and that she would do her absolute best to rule fairly and justly. Sure, it would take some time to get used to, and she wouldn't be able to see the surface as frequently as she'd like...but she didn't mind. if this was her destiny, then she would take it with pride. She would rule this kingdom to the best of her ability...even with her stormy, cloudy days among her sunny, bright ones.Credit//- Images were all found on Wikipedia.com on various Egyptian pages.
