So, what is WolfQuest you ask?
WolfQuest is a game started back around the year of '08 or '09, with intent of educational purposes based on the wild wolf packs of Yellowstone National Park. There has since been a new version of the game released, called WolfQuest: Survival of the Pack Deluxe, and many upgrades have been added to the game with many more features.
A new version is soon to be out now, with even MORE cool features and upgrades! Along with all new character customization! This version will be called WolfQuest: 2.7, since there was no new episode added, just upgrades, fixes, and customization's.
About the game: As you start off as playing, you first get to customize your wolf. You get to choose the coat colors which right now are limited to black, rusty orange, grey, mixed brown/tan, and white. You get to name your wolf(now currently only available to single player), choose the gender(also now only available in single player due to inappropriate reasons between players) and choose advantages which appeal more to you, the choices being between strength, stamina and speed.
As you start the game, you land in the reserve of Amethyst Mountain, where you start your quest. That being to visit, and defeat, at least one wolf from that territory/pack and find a mate. Your mate can only be a dispersal wolf, such as yourself. Any others will not work out or turn you down.
Once you find a mate, however, you then complete the quest and you can then play freely and do whatever you wish. And with a mate, the journey then becomes more fun, hunting becomes much easier, and the challenge becomes harder as you must look after yourself and your mate.
But fear not! If you or your mate die, you simply respawn in the location you were once at.
WolfQuest: Survival of the Pack: Survival of the pack, or, SotP for short, is a continuation of Amethyst Mountain, where you and your mate(both saved and loaded) will then try to survive the winter in the new land of Slough Creek, where you will find a den to live in(there are three locations, and a secret fourth), and raise, train, and defend your pups through the spring.
This episode offers a much more open and new landscape, where the land is no longer dead and dry, but lush and living. A creek runs and divides the land, there are conveniently close elk herds for easy hunting, and wolf packs which you must be wary of in order to protect your territory and pups.
As spring rolls around you must mark your territory to keep out unwanted rival wolves and predators such as bears and coyotes which will try and make easy meals of your pups.
You(or your mate) will give birth to four pups, all which you will get to name(if you have enough exp.) and will be colored based off of you and your mate.
You must then feed and train your pups while making sure your territory is still scent protected until they have grown to be about 15lbs, which is when you will then take all of your surviving pups to the rendezvous sight, where the episode ends.
BONUS: If you happen to find the secret den, you will also unlock an albino pup!
And, at the far north end of the map, there is a fun side quest! But I'll let you find that out yourself!
Multiplayer: In multiplayer, you are allowed all the same customization's to your wolf as you are in single player, except for a chosen name, which has been replaced with your username, and gender. You can either join an open or private multiplayer game and play in new surroundings!
Upon making or joining a game, you can choose from either maps of Amethyst Mountain or Slough Creek, the time of day, and even winter or spring(slough creek only)
You can also choose what kind of chat, lexicon or phrase(voice chat is to be added in 2.7!) or no chat.
In a multiplayer game, you can either host or join a game, and you can choose how many people are allowed to join: 2, 3, 4, or 5, which is the maximum.
