What are Cryssom Terrexes? wrote:Cryssom Terrexes (shortened: Cryssos) are small, alien-like marsupials that are very closely related to the Possum hailing from the planet Taliposa. They have lots of fur covering their bodies, keeping them warm during the harsh winters on their planet. Cryssom Terrexes have four crystals floating above their scaled tails, sometimes more. These crystals are basically their life and energy source; the more crystals broken, the weaker the Cryssom Terrex gets until, when all crystals are broken, they die. Cryssom Terrexes draw their power from their crystals, but release the energy through special sacs on their cheeks. These creatures have a vast array of personalities; like humans, all are different from one another. However, all are usually willing to follow a person if they deem them a compatible and worthy owner. Do you have what it takes to own a Cryssom Terrex?
Powers
All Cryssom Terrexes have at least one type of power held in their crystals. The brighter the crystals get, the more powerful they are. On very rare occasions, Cryssom Terrexes have more than one power. These are the types of powers that Cryssom Terrexes can have.
Fire wrote:The ability to manipulate fire. Cryssom Terrexes with normal Fire power can control and breathe fire, while those with stronger Fire power can create fire and can even potentially create small, temporary companions made of fire. Cryssom Terrexes with this sort of power usually have less body fur than regular Cryssom Terrexes. The fur they DO have is not flammable.
Water wrote:The ability to manipulate water. Cryssom Terrexes with normal Water power can control water and breathe underwater, while those with stronger Water power can create whirlpools and can even potentially create other natural disasters revolving around water (such as tsunamis, floods, etc). Cryssom Terrexes with this sort of power usually have sleek, smoother fur than regular Cryssom Terrexes, as to make swimming easier. Some even have gills and webbed toes!
Air wrote:The ability to manipulate air. Cryssom Terrexes with normal Air power can manipulate air and breathe at high altitudes, while those with stronger Air power can fly and can even potentially create other natural disasters revolving around air (such as tornados). Cryssom Terrexes with this sort of power usually have stronger lungs, and are lighter than other Cryssom Terrexes. Those that can fly even have wings!
Ice wrote:The ability to manipulate ice. Cryssom Terrexes with normal Ice power can control snow and create icicles, while those with stronger Ice power can create blizzards and can even potentially create small, temporary companions made of ice. Cryssom Terrexes with this sort of power usually have more body fur than regular Cryssom Terrexes. They are usually cold to the touch.
Earth wrote:The ability to manipulate earth. Cryssom Terrexes with normal Earth power can control the Earth and plantlife, while those with stronger Earth power can potentially create mountains and natural disasters revolving around earth (such as earthquakes). Cryssom Terrexes with this sort of power are usually bigger and stronger than other Cryssom Terrexes, and can climb rather high.
Electricity wrote:The ability to manipulate electricity. Cryssom Terrexes with normal Electricity power can control and create electricity, while those with stronger Electricity power can control thunderstorms and lightning, and can sometimes even cause paralysis. Cryssom Terrexes with this sort of power are usually faster than other Cryssom Terrexes, and are full of energy. Friction against their fur (usually caused by petting or touching) can create tiny sparks.
Healing wrote:The ability to heal other living things. A rarer power, Cryssom Terrexes with normal Healing power can heal small cuts and bruises and clear headaches, stomach pain, and nausea, while Cryssom Terrexes with stronger Healing power can regenerate missing limbs and can potentially even resurrect the dead. Cryssom Terrexes with this sort of power are usually pleasant to be around, and are normally very caring and trusting.
Destruction wrote:The ability to destroy anything. The rarest power of them all, Cryssom Terrexes wielding this power can break through any sort of material, be it fabric or titanium. They can tap into the powers of other Cryssom Terrexes, and are able to use the destructive forces of any of the other powers, except for Healing. Cryssom Terrexes with the ability of Healing are the only ones who can stop those with Destruction powers. Cryssom Terrexes with this sort of power are normally cold and spiteful, and will not hesitate to hurt anything.

Main Rules
1. You may own unlimited Cryssoms for now, but please do NOT try out for every single one of them! Give others a chance!
2. Play nice. If you are caught harassing anyone inside this species, you will be given a warning.
3. You are given three warnings before you are banned from the species. Once you are banned, your Cryssoms will be revoked, and you will have no say in what happens to them. The artist(s) who designed them gets to decide what becomes of them.
4. Please do NOT ask to be staff! I will announce when I am looking for staff.
5. You CAN mate Cryssoms for life, but if you want temporary mates, that's fine too. Just don't use them for breeding only; there is a cap of five breeding slots, with the chance of three babies per slot. (Nursery coming soon!)
6. Cryssoms can have any sexuality/gender identity! These things are typically as smart, if not smarter, than the average human, so go nuts with this!
7. You may only gift Cryssoms if you contact the artist who designed them. The artist has the right to decline; they designed the Cryssom, so if they want to re-adopt it, they have a right to suggest that. If the artist agrees, then you must go to the archivist and tell them who the new owner is with a link to the new owner's account.
8. Do NOT ask for customs. Those are reserved for staff/deserving members of the community only.
9. You may NOT sell/trade your Cryssoms for ANYTHING. If you do not want your Cryssom anymore, please refer to rule 7.
