Introduction -

Hello, welcome to the Spykra breeding thread. Here, you can take two Spykras and breed them together to produce one to three babies! Spykra breed in a neat way; the pair usually take at least a month to become comfortable around the other and to make sure that this is the Spykra they wish to mate with. Then, the two begin a wonderful water dance in clear deep water, spinning through the water in harmony. This is the tie that marks them as mates. Spykra then will lay up to three eggs, which are laid alongside the water to keep the eggs humid enough but not totally water logged. In a few weeks, the eggs hatch into young Spykras, who have shorter fatter tails and horns than those of their parents. They are born able to eat fish and other food that their parents bring back for them, and take to the water in only a few days after their birth. However, young Spykras are still reliant on their parents for food and protection until they grow bigger.

Breeding Rules -

- All official species rules apply.
- Spykra can only breed with other Spykra, and may not have offspring with other species.
- Only official Spykra artists may create babies/any Spykra.
- Spykras may only breed only once a month after their last batch was 'born' (not submitted).
- Spykras may have multiple breeding partners.
- You must have permission from the owner of the other Spykra to breed the two if you do not own both.
- Spykras may breed a maximum of six times (for free/without special items).
- Babies will be a mixture of the parents/parent's family. If it is not found in the heritage, it will not be found on the baby unless they roll for a random mutation (only if the artist is open to doing mutation rolls).

What can I do with the baby/babies? -

- Keep them
- Gift them
- Put them up for adoption

If you are unsure how to get hex codes, upload the image to pixlr.com editor and use the color swatch tool then swatch each of the Spykra's fur colors, then copy the 6 digit code. This is the hex code that we need to breed your Spykra. For me, another way for me to get the hex codes is for you to add me to the Spyrkra's thread to color it in. I can download the hex codes from there and it is easier for both! ovo
