A while ago, an undercover lab was doing genetic experiments on the cells of wild dogs. One of the scientist's sons tended to wander throughout the building, and he loved to collect pinecones. He used to carry them throughout the halls, and one day he wandered into the lab while the scientists were on their break. Well, you can imaging the shock on the scientists faces when their little experiments wagged their little pinecone tails at them. The experiments were quite brittle, their pinecone parts tending to break off quite easily. So they were abandoned, left in the woods. But instead of dying, they were thriving! Now, if you know where to look, you might find a little tail wagging at you.

Pinecone pups live in deciduous forests, feeding on nuts and fruits and whatever they can find. They are born scavengers, enjoying seeds and decomposing fruit. They are quite the little composters, which makes them quite easy to feed. They form nests in the nooks and crannies of trees, and the type of tree depends on the pup. The nests are formed with branches and leaves, and they like to scurry around the branches strong enough to hold them. The grow to be about a foot tall, and weigh about fifteen pounds when fully grown. They have quite the sweet tooth, but sugar makes them very hyper. Sweets are best served to them in moderation, as you probably don't want them bouncing off your walls. They are strict herbivores, and are very sensitive to blood. They don't have much experience, as their blood is gold and sticky, similar to tree sap.

At the moment, we are still classifying what makes a pinecone pup rare. We'll get back to you when we're ready!
