Name;Pteras is the name of this little Parra.
She chose her own name. Got it from a book of dinosaurs, having been particularly interested in Pterosaurs. She loved the way the birds looked, and decided to use their name as hers, too. Before this time, Pteras had no clue what her name was. She was just some nameless orphan child, with little memory of who she was. She found comfort in reading about pterosaurs, and decided to use their name to identify herself.
Gender;Pteras is female.
Birthday:Pteras' birthday is unknown to her. She suffers from amnesia, and doesn't remember several things from her past. Her birthday is one of those things. It's a complete mystery to her, but she's always trying to figure it out.
Her birthday is
actually February 28, but she's unaware of it.
Personality;Pteras is generally pretty quiet and reserved, though she's very sweet and caring. She'd do almost anything for those she loves, and is pretty nice to strangers, as well. However, this isn't always the best trait to have, as it means she can easily be taken advantage of, and she's rather gullible. But she's a great friend to have, if you can get past her shyness, because she loves just to have someone else around. She doesn't like big groups, and thus makes a very small web of one or two very close friends with whom she likes to spend time around.
Song;Pteras' song is Starry Eyed by Ellie Goulding.
She heard the song playing out on the streets, and had taken a certain liking to it. Though she looked and looked, Pteras could not find the source of the brilliant music. All she could do was listen to it. So she did. She listened, and repeated the lyrics and notes. Since that day, she'd hum it and sing it, always remembering how it went, but never knowing the name at all. And it's still like that to this day. Pteras still has no clue what her song is called.
Her Past:A while ago, Pteras was an orphan. She remembers her mother vaguely and had no clue if she had any siblings of any kind, thanks to her amnesia. Everything past a certain point in her memory just sort of...
Fades. She would take shelter in holes under buildings and makeshift cardboard box-houses by trash cans in alleyways. She'd go out during the day, picking up scraps of food from townspeople and searching the streets for any sort of items and things that would be useful to her.
Then Pteras found sprite. She saw her, just kind of strolling down the street with her fancy-looking purse and a pleasant smile. A child walked by the older Parra and said something to her, to which she chuckled and replied. Sprite and the child talked for a little before the hatchling's mother called for him, and he had to leave. Pteras was interested suddenly, at the way this stranger had treated the child. She seemed so loving and caring to him, even though she had no idea who it was.
And this reminded Pteras of her mother previously, who she had some memories of. Her mother had also been kind and friendly, just like the stranger had been. Suddenly, the little yellow Parra got the urge to follow Sprite, to keep up with her. So she did. Pteras ran forward and scrambled into Sprite's purse, luckily without being detected, and Sprite accidentally took the little orphan home with her.
Needless to say, Sprite was absolutely shocked to see a hatchling in her purse when she opened it at home. She was shocked for some time before Pteras hastily explained everything hoping to be forgiven. Sprite felt very bad for the little one, and didn't get upset at all. She could hardly imagine how it would have been to not have parents when she was a child.
Pteras begged and begged for Sprite not to toss her back onto the streets. She hugged Sprite rather tightly and cried into her fur, explaining how horrible it was without a home or any parents to speak of. Sprite still felt very bad for the child, and found that she couldn't bring herself to force Pteras back to living on the streets. She calmed the little one down, explaining that she wouldn't kick her out, that she'd let her stay in her home and live with her if she really wanted. Pteras was honestly very shocked, but she was absolutely overjoyed. Sprite was like she remembered her own mother, and she was so joyful not to have to live out alone any longer.
Relationship With Mother:Pteras absolutely loves her mother, Sprite. Sprite reminds her of her previous mother. Pteras has no clue where her mother is or what happened to her, thanks to her amnesia. She only remembers that she was kind and caring, the perfect Parrapup anyone could ever imagine. Sprite is somewhat like Pteras' mother was, kind and very expressive. She was so kind to the little Parra when she met her, allowing her to live along with her as an adopted daughter without hardly any hesitation, and Sprite is still so nice to her now. Pteras absolutely adores her mother, and wouldn't trade her for anything in the world. She tries her hardest to be kind back to Sprite, and loves to be around her and help her with anything that she may be doing at the time.
Accessories; Click here!1) A stuffed Dimorphodon. Sprite found this plushie at a garage sale, and figured it would be perfect for Pteras. She absolutely loves the thing, and carries it with her almost everywhere she goes. She's lovingly named it "Solar" because of its brightly colored face. It's very soft and huggable.
2) An old green bag that she keeps hung over her shoulder most of the time. It's a little dirty and has gotten some patchwork done to it, but she loves it nonetheless. Inside it are a few things; the book of dinosaurs that Pteras originally discovered Pterosaurs in, a plastic Stegosaurus and Velociraptor, and some fake bones. She keeps them with her all the time.
3) A bright, shiny, green bracelet-type item that she wears on her tail. It's very shiny and glistens very brightly. Pteras and Sprite had gone out shopping, and this thing caught her eye. Sprite bought it for her happily, and she hasn't really taken it off since. She likes to pretend it's made of some rare minerals, but it's mostly just glass.
