This is a remake of my old open species, Mothmos, with some changes.
Well for one, these lines are much more realistic, instead of those dirpy lil--what the heck was I doing?
I decided instead of giving them weird fluffy moth faces, to give them weird fluffy moth faces with lil beaks. But then I thought, well, if they already have flat faces, big eyes, and lil beaks, why not go all-out owl on them? So I did.
So... technically, there is no V1 of the species, but this is a "V2" because they are a remake of Mothmos.
[Rules]
✦You may make line edits for small things such as claws, fangs, ears, tail size, etc, so long as its origin is still recognizable.
✦You may make line edits to change their antennae, give them feathers, or give them moth-like wings.
✦Cite back if you take off-site.
✦You may claim your design, but not the species.
✦You may post in any oekaki except Editable.
✦You may make your own lines. If they're not made as a color-in of this editable, then you must cite back to this editable.
✦Infinite ownership. I have 300 chars and I believe I take care of them pretty well: However, this does not give you permission to spamcreate a thousand you barely worked on and/or know you'll never use.
✦On that note: No spontaneous neons or scribbles. Actually work on it, please.
[Adoption]
✦You may adopt out your own designs.
✦It's your design (just my species), so you regulate how you want to adopt it out.
✦You may not sell them for off-site currency.
[What is a Mothark?]
Anatomy-
✦A Mothark is a moth-owl-wolf-fox-thing.
✦They have the head of an owl, a long neck, a fox-like anatomy, and a thick, fluffy tail. Sometimes they have feathers, wings, or owl talons.
✦They can turn their head all the way around like an owl.
✦They are about twice the size of a fox, and are similar in anatomy, behavior, and agility.
Diet-
✦Motharks often hunt insects such as Locus, but will also eat fish and small mammals; they never hunt anything bigger than themselves.
✦They may sometimes eat berries, nuts, seeds, and drink the nectar of flowers.
✦They may sometimes stun their prey with loud screeches
✦Can use their long tongues to capture insects hiding in holes
Lifestyle
✦Live in packs of up to 30 ruled by alpha-omega hierarchy. At this size, they often migrate along set year-round cycles in search of food.
✦Within a pack, they live in family units.
✦They communicate with sharp sonic squeaks and chirps.
✦They will emit a piercing shriek to confuse enemies/prey, alert for danger, or call for help.
✦Like Mothmos, they are never born with wings; they have long, silky ribbons called Threads. Over time these silky ribbons fuse together into wings. Sometimes they are stuck with Threads forever.
[Add-Ons]
✦Fluffy antennae
✦Antennae tip-tufts
✦I'm working on wings and etc, but this is the bare minimum of the species.
