Snake-Faced Chimaeras (or SFCs) are a new species recently discovered in the deepest parts of Madagascar.
SFCs are friendly, social creatures that learn very quickly, but they also have a very big appetite. They come in a seemingly endless list of colour and marking variations, leading to them being widely sought-after as pets.
SFCs are warm-blooded reptiles with thick fur and large, feathered wings. They stand at about 4'1" (or 1.2m) to the shoulder and are about 8'9" (2.6m) long. Their diet consists primarily of small rodents like mice, but they also eat eggs and the occasional small bird. They enjoy curling up on their owners laps, but can be stubborn. Healthy SFCs can live for as long as 50 years!
Adoption!
New SFCs will be available for adoption over time. This will likely be on a semi-regular basis, meaning that there will be a sense of order and timing, but new SFCs may become available slightly before or after the 'schedule'.
Each user is currently allowed up to four SFCs. This number may increase later on.
When you have adopted an SFC, it's yours! You can draw it, or use it in RPs, or whatever you like! You can't change it's design, however, so make sure you pay attention to that.
To adopt an SFC, simply go read the description for the individual in question and pay attention to what the artist is looking for! Some forms may be simple, and the artist will simply choose the best name (for example), but some may require more thought.

Breeding!
Male and female SFCs can breed with each other to produce a new SFC combining their genetic attributes!
You can breed to SFCs if you; 1. Own both! Or... 2. Have permission from another user to breed their SFC with yours!
SFCs will almost always have one child at a time, but some can occasionally have twins! The owner of the mother will always have 'first dibs' on the new SFC, but if they don't want the child, they can make them available for general adoption.
The shop also sells items that will affect breeding! This is important because, by default, each SFC can only breed three times. After that, they are unable to breed again, unless potions are used.

Here is the shop, where you can buy potions for you SFCs. Potions will affect breeding primarily, but some potions have other affects. You can buy potions with Madagascar Gold (MG), which you can get at the bank.
1. Breeding +1 (10MG) - Allows 1 extra 'breedability' for any one SFC. Single use consumable.
2. Litter +1 (20MG) - Causes the affected SFC to have twins in their next breeding. Single use consumable.
3. Gender Swap (5MG) - Swaps the gender of the SFC in question. Single use consumable.
4. Liquid Uranium (50MG) - Causes an unusual and unique mutation in the next breeding. Single use consumable.

To get MG, used for buying potions (and maybe other things in the future), you can trade CS pets and items using the following formula!
