This is for my grandmother; she has been in the hospital for eight months and every day has fought to recover. Sometimes, she starts to make progress, but all too frequently infection or some other problem related to being in the hospital for so long pulls her back down, threatens to engulf her.
Does she give up?
No.
This eighty-year-old woman keeps fighting. And what's most amazing?
She also keeps on smiling, no matter what.
