What is a Solkon?
Solkons are fox-like furry creatures that take pride in their fluffy manes on
their necks and long tails. They usually dwell in cold habitats, such as the
tundra or snow forest. Their diet consists of berries, plants, fruits and other
small mammals and rodents. Solkons also have sharp teeth and claws that
are usually keep unsheathed and are used to grab a hold of prey. They are
believed to be evolved from lions and foxes, slowly developing traits from
both species to create a unique hybrid. They have a very long life span,
ranging from around 200 - 250 years, earning them their nickname, god's
souls, as they seem almost immortal. Solkons all have whiskers – a trait
that can never be bred out of DNA. Tufted hair is extended from their ears,
similar to that of a lynx. Though a bit less common, some Solkons have horns.

Rules:

This is a closed species, do not make your own/ steal designs.
Selling your Solkon for any currency is not permitted.
You may only own up to 5 Solkons.
You must ask for permission before gifting/ no trading.
Solkons may not be fursonas.
Staff may revoke/re-adopt Solkons for any misuse/misconduct.
Solkon Giftlines may only be used for owned Solkons.

Staff Rules:

Uphold the integrity of the staff as a whole
Follow all rules and in general acting in a mature, respectful manner.
Do not judge with any bias, if a friend enters your contest, please ask for guest judges.
Answer questions should members have them, if unsure, please ask thistlestar.
Thistlestar can take over any contests for judging, if the artist doesn't close/judge it in a timely manner.
Post the basic solkon information when posting new adopt.
Two customs per artist and one for all other staff positions.
If you choose to give your custom away, that counts as your own.
You may only hold up to 3 contests at a time.
Please inform/ask thistlestar before making drastic edits, etc.
If you wish to resign your spot or will be absent, please tell me beforehand.
Do not use your position to any advantage, staff members receive same treatment as regular members.
Rules may be changed/added in the future.

Guest Artist Rules:

Guest artists do not receive any customs.

FAQ:

How do you adopt a Solkon?
If you are interested in adopting a solkon, there are many up for adoption at a given time. To find out which are up for adoption, you may browse through them above. To adopt a solkon, you must fill out the form and comply with all rules listed by the artist in the first post below the individual solkon.

How many Solkons can I apply for?
A: There is no limit on the number of solkon you apply for at a given time, though we suggest you limit yourself to a few so that you can focus on them. However, if you win a solkon and reach your five solkons max, you must drop out of all other adoptions, and and are not permitted to own any other solkons, unless you put one of yours up for re-adoption.


May I add items to my Solkon?
Only minor items, such as earrings,bracelets, scarves, etc . Do not make hair edits on them or tweek their lines in any way. Special items are sold at events that will allow you to add certain items or change of design in a particular way.

May I do hair edits/line edit/change design the Solkon?
No, the designer worked hard on the design and line edits are rare and only to be done with the approval of me and the artist. Please don't ask for an edit. Designs should not be changed as well nor will solkons be mutated or have a missing limb.

I've submitted a staff application form so why don't you accept me?
Sorry but I don't accepted everyone. I prefer the more experienced people over people with no experiences/bad reputations. Other times, I'm just waiting for an amount of people to fill out the application before I pick the staff. We do go over all forms though and examine each one before letting the entire staff decide.
