Why // He has chosen the bamboo shark as his companion because when he was a bit younger he found himself wandering around and interested by that sharks that swam around his reef home. It's likely he stumbled upon a young baby bamboo shark and they just connected. Now the bamboo shark whom he has nicknamed Dracula follows him everywhere possible.

☄Calvin's Personality: So as stated above Calvin is kind and enjoys making friends, but he's also not fond of making friends with a human. Besides being an ever so kind being, he's skittish to fast movements and loud noises {Not afraid of them just nervous}. Being both skittish and kind are only a sliver of who he is. He widely loves challenges. Being part octopus has given him a bit more brain as well. He's a whiz and figuring out how things work be it a human contraption he's seemed to discover while on land or inventing his own little things with things he collects. Though Calvin's not always a joy or like this. He often gets drowsy and way fall asleep at random times due to having a narcolepsy issue. Without getting close to a human in the slightest way possible he's unable to get treatment and has grown accustom to Dracula giving him little bites to wake him up if he begins to doze off.
