Young pets

So, if I have added items to still growing pets and used the image in my signature, will that image exist when the pets grow up? Will the items be lost or returned to my collection?

Sorry if it's a dumb question, I'm just a little tired and finding the answer is beating my addled brain right now

the image will change to that of your pet, all grown up, its items not moving, so most items won't fit anymore, so you would have to readjust them. The old image will we replaced by the new, so the old won't exist anymore.
