The Training

Postby Freedom! » Mon Oct 27, 2014 2:11 pm

My first official attempt at horses pulling anything! Definitely has to be one of the harder pieces I have done, as if fitting the horses together in a way which you could see them all wasn't bad enough I then had to try and get that wagon thing in the picture XD The wagon is a home made one, I thought it may show a little more of Uncles personality since he is always the kind who prefers to do things himself so he knows exactly how they work, not to mention I think a good wee hard wagon like that is needed when training this lot how to work together.

John, Better known as Uncle had been around horses his whole life, training them how to work as a team was something that he took joy in, loving to see the animals and people alike learning how to teach each other. With his loyal companion Shep by his side he jumped on his hand-made ancient wagon which had seen better days and away he went along the pebble road, whistling and singing to himself and the horses the whole way. Even when they had the wagon in the air at every hill, dip or turn, the man still just kept whistling.

Dusty was eager to get going, often trying to leap ahead, Claydon often only encouraged Dusty on by helping him give a few good rough pulls, while up front Lagan got the hang of it faster than all the rest (mare power) and Dakota... Well he had his mind on the promised candy if they got this done right.

Uncle
Claydon
Dusty
Dakota
Lagan

The only horse subject to possible change is Lagan due to owner not being decided yet, I just thought her and Dakota looked like a good leading pair and couldn't resist xD
