What are they?
Mus aves are friendly little animals created in labs by combining DNA from mice, birds, and who knows what else, then sticking that DNA into an embryo and seeing what happens. It's all very scientific and probably safe - don't even worry about it!™
Advances in genetic modification techniques means that new Mus aves can be created with any number of color combinations, any gender, personality, intelligence level....the only limitation is their size: they tend to be no bigger than your average house cat, and at least as big as an average mouse.
Do they breed?
All Mus aves are sterile, but the DNA of any two Mus aves can be combined in a lab to create one or more offspring.

How do I get one?
Simply go to the thread of the Mus aves you wish to adopt: there will be more specific requirements within.
Eventually, you'll be able to order your very own custom Mus aves, so keep an eye out for that!
What can I do with my Mus aves?
Here's the rules:
- Don't claim that you made any Mus aves
Don't take and use another person's Mus aves
Don't make edits to any Mus aves
Don't give away your Mus aves*
- Roleplay with your Mus aves
Assign a gender/personality/likes/dislikes/etc to your Mus aves
Create fan art of any Mus aves**
Show off your Mus aves (don't forget to link back to this thread!)
Also, I'm always happy to add some text to your Mus aves, or change its background color, just ask! ^^
