Tanzeni lions are slightly smaller than their African cousins but are equally as dangerous unless raised from birth. They reach maturity at about seven years of age, and live twice as long as regular lions. The oldest recorded was a male in the wild reaching 57 years of age, ten years longer than the average. Tanzeni lions come in every color but unnatural colors severely hinders their ability to hunt and most brightly colored TZL's are shamans or healers. All Tanzeni lions are born with an innate love of snow. Tanzeni lions are omnivores, feeding on both meat and berries when the season permits. Tanzeni lions have a social hierarchy that is similar to other lion species.

This guardian is an older fellow, his service on the front lines is no longer needed by his pride. His pelt is marked with scars from his many victories, telling all who see him how deadly he is on the battlefield. His left eye is useless, the left side of his mouth is pulled at an odd angle because of the scars on his face.


Though he no longer fights for his pride, he is still strong. Tell me a story about how he handles cubs asking about his scars; especially his grandchildren.

Okay so I really love this guy, whoever gets him better take great care of him, especially 'cause those scars act up during the winter. Seriously. Love. Him.

Cedric (Said-drik). I've chosen Cedric as the old guy's name for it's meaning; the meaning being 'The leader or Chieftan of war.' I think it suits the TZ Lion very well! c:

Cedric is head-strong and stubborn with a sense of imtimadation about him warding off many with just one look. Maybe it's his loss of 'looks' or the way he walks with his head held high with thepower coarsing through every stride that causes others to keep their distance.He can be quite the clever mastermind. Don't let his age fool you as he'll prove you wrong by joining in hunts, stepping forwards in times of battle and doing anything he can to help his pride. Cedric is wise and full of knowledge that he has gathered over the years of his life but if you ever have a question, he'll most likely be able to tell you where the greatest hunt was held and his favourite; where the most successful battle was formed.

History:

Cedric has been, since a young cub eager to help others. He always did but with that, he was quite the trouble-maker. He always did everything he wasn't supposed to and one unfortunate day, paid the costs. The scar on his right side that ran from the beginning of his torso, to the beginning f his tail was actually never from battle, but in fact; a buffalo attack when he left the pride unnoticed. Being the small cub he was, Cedric was easily lifted up by the buffalos horn and got thrown high into the air before landing roughly onto the floor. Cedric that day never again went out of the pride alone as a cub again. That scar is easily one of more noticeable scars though has healed on a little over the years.

Story About War:

You see, Cedric isn't one to get upset easily and doesn't get offended whenever one asked about his gruesome scars that lace his coat; in fact, he rather enjoys telling others of his 'great' adventures and the cubs seem to like them too.

Cedric starts the story off with how the pride and himself had to travel the tallest of mountains to the hottest of deserts and describes every detail of how most of the Guardians of the pride had to fight against the most cruellest lions of the land. He told them that they bathed in blood, used elephants bones to pick the flesh of cubs like them out of their teeth and their claws where as strong as a heynas jaw. Cedric smiled at the now horrified cubs and continues that if the ever went far enough, they'll get to meet those cats and come back looking like him. And that was enough to make all the cubs to stay within the prides sight and never wander as far as he did.
