What is a Makoatl?
A Makoatl is a terrestrial shark-dragon hybrid recently discovered
off the coast of the Greenland sea. They have the powerful tail
and jaws of a shark, with the body and (occasional) horns of a dragon.
They usually have manes, and are covered in thick coats of fur-
adapted to keeping out the cold in their native habitat.
They live on a diet of mainly meat and fish, and are known to be vicious
hunters! Despite this attitude toward their prey, however, they
are very protective and mothering to their offspring,
as well as to each other the majority of the time.

Irelia's favourite thing about the ocean is the new discoveries being made all the time about the creatures that are in the ocean. Her favourite thing to do is sit there and read up on all the new creatures that no one new existed for ages upon ages. She loves that mystery, and the fact that no one truly knows much about any of them, as she feels it should be.

The endless mystery-- that we know more about the surface of our moon than we know about the ocean's depths. Dagon isn't one to sit idly by and wait for others to solve them either, she'll seek out remote locations or impossible depths however she can, trying to find anything she hadn't known before.

Their favorite thing about the ocean?: His favorite thing about the ocean is the corals beneath the surfaces. He finds them to be a wonder that the ocean provides the world.

Their favorite thing about the ocean? Reef's favorite thing about the ocean are the treasures that can be found on its bottom. He loves swimming down to the dark depths, using his paws to sift through the sand to find shimmering trinkets such as coins, jewelry, pictures and random boat parts. He adores finding these "lost things" and tends to collect them, each containing a special memory of how it had been found. Reef considers stumbling across a shipwreck the jackpot, the rusting hallways and staircases always bringing a smile to his face. He maps every shipwreck he finds so that he can return, and hides his lost things in some of his favorite ships.

Yevette's favorite thing about the ocean is low tide. Yvette loves to collect little crabs and creatures into his favorite red bucket. He especially loves catching hermit crabs... mostly because they're one of the only things he has the confidence to pick up on his own. He's always afraid that any of the bigger crabs like Spider crabs or even Fiddler crabs. He's too afraid of being pinched to pick them up.
Instead, he carries long nets out with him while he works on the oceanic marshes at cape cod, catching everything that he knows although he doesn't know all too much about how to take care of the creatures he catches.
