What Is A Pusa? wrote:A Pusa is a cat-like creature often found in ocean or ocean dwelling homes. All Pusa have sharktails that help them navigate the waters. Pusa most resemble a medium dog sized cat, with razor sharp teeth and claws like a wild 'big cat'. Pusa are generally non-hostile predators that can be found near abandoned islands somewhere close to Hawaii. Pusa usually eat meat, though some are known to eat plant and shell creatures. This is however not often due to the lack of nutrition that follows the unhealthy veggie diet. Their coral horns stop growing at their 'second' growing. Objects always get stuck in their coral horns, you will never not find a Pusa without something in their horns. The older they get the more that gets stuck.

Main Adoption Rules

These are primarily free adoptions, however if there is ever a money auction,
do not complain about it, artists need a reward once in a while.

  • Respect all staff members and community members.
  • You may not revamp Pusa.
  • Do not steal Pusa character(s) and design(s).
  • Do not resell Pusa characters for anything.
  • Do not ask to become staff, it will be publically known if we are searching.
  • Do not complain about competitions for Pusa.
  • Do not make 'unofficial' Pusa.
  • You may not mini-mod, we have people for this.
  • You may not give your character(s) adopted from here powers.
  • These characters cannot be your fursona(s)
  • If you are banned we hold the right to revoke your Pusa, if you have broken enough rules that it deems you unworthy of owning the character. This is a rare happening so don't always expect it to happen!
    - If you are banned you may not participate in any Pusa contests
    - You may not post on the fanclub
    - You may not post on the main adopts/adopt pages
    - Do not publically use your Pusa if you are banned
    - You may gift/readopt your Pusa

Readoption, Gifting, Aging

  • If you put your Pusa up for adoption/gift it you may not ever own that Pusa again.
  • If you readopt a Pusa you must wait a month before gaining a new Pusa via Gifting/Adoption. (NB's do not count)
  • You must wait 2 months to age your Pusa to an adult, unless said otherwise.
  • If you have a non-staff member grow your Pusa you MUST get it approved before posting it.
  • All giftings/readoptions MUST be approved by Staff

Staff

These are the person(s) you should be directing your questions to. All staff members have contact with 'everyone else' via Skype, so if you have a question it will (likely) be an approved answer. Please do not spam different staff members with the same question; allow someone up to 72 hours to reply to your question before sending it to other person(s). Staff members are appointed, please do not ask to become staff as it will ruin your chances in the future, and you will be declined.

Pusa Traits

Postby nymphies » Wed Aug 13, 2014 5:45 pm

Establishing Traits

          - Shark tail
          - Double fin on back
          - Cat like body form
          - Do not have any more than 8 colors
          - Their 'hair' or 'mane'
          - coral horns
          - fins on arms

Learning More About The Body

        • The Horns;; Their horns actually grow every 3 months, twice. For a total of six months. Nobody knows why but they randomly stop growing after that. Sometimes things get stuck in their horns, like seaweed and trash. Written below is the rarities of things in their horns.

Common;; Seaweed OR Trash (like soda can plastic, old rope, fish net)
          Uncommon;; Seaweed AND trash
Rare;; small objects like braclets, or rings, or fishhooks
Very Rare;; 'old' jewls found in their horns, bigger objects, 'shiny' things it's also considered very rare to have coral growing on other parts of their body, like necks/paws/tail/etc

        • You may ask to have their horns grown larger twice, once every 3(sometimes +) months. Let it be known the longer you wait to have them grown (example) a year, the higher chances you get of their horns becoming 'rare/etc' horns.

        • You will never NOT find a Pusa with 'stuff' in their horns.

Common Misunderstandings

        • Pusa are tend to be mistaken for canine like creatures due to their sizes, this however is wrong. Pusa are cat like, their size matching up with a medium sized dog. Pusa do have whiskers, for balance just like a 'normal' cat. Pusa have short fur that allows them to easily glide though water(s) at high speeds. The highest recorded speed being almost 90MPH.

        • Pusa are more calm and friendly than they are aggressive, however do not take them all to be friendly pets! They are 'wild' creatures, and most will fight to protect themselves if in harms way. Again though; this is not all Pusa. Personalities vary depending on the Pusa.

        • They are carnivores, not cannibals. They do not eat one another, even in harsh times. It is very rare you will find a 'cannibalistic' Pusa. They usually eat fish or smaller water dwelling creatures. You will from time to time find some Pusa who do not eat meat but rather plants and small shell creatures like Crabs and Clams.

        • Pusa will die if they end up on their back for longer than an hour. They will however not die if they stop swimming, which is usually why you will often find one floating and sleeping, or sleeping somewhere outside of the water. However, even outside of the water if they end up on their backs for too long they will die.
        • Pusa do not have gills, they use oxygen to live. While they live in the water they much come up to get air at some point. They can hold their breath for a period of twelve hours max, after that they will begin to die. This is why most Pusa tend to stay close to the surface in deep waters, so they can easily get the oxygen they need.
        • Pusa can live outside of the water, contrary to what may be thought. They are both land and water creatures; and at times can be either or. It varies depending on the particular creature(s).
