StormFire Wyvern- A Dragon species. StormFire Wyverns are named by their ability to fly though storms, as they fly though storms electricity collects on their scales and tail fin, this electricity powers their green bluish flames which burn bright. These wyverns are built for taking attacks and are more defensive resulting in sharp spikes and strong jaws, however they are fast, and are known to be able to summon storms when in battle. Their ability to summon storms is an unknown factor to these dragon, as their very cautious breed and tend to run instead of fighting so scientists rarely get to study them. Their neck flaps are flat giving them a cobra like neck, being said their necks are flexible able to bend and fit where as a normal dragon could not. Its is said that if the dragon could fit its tail fin into an opening them the whole dragon can squeeze in that opening. Though these dragons have a bright extremely hot flame, they prefer to not use it as it drains energy which is used to fly, they prefer to roar, bite, snap their jaws, or slam their tails as a means of defense. These dragons travel in Hoards of 5-10, and are ruled by a Hierarchy, aka Alpha Male/Female are top, everyone else are lower class. StormFires breed every summer, and lay eggs in the high mountains where lightning strikes often infusing their eggs to be stronger, females can lay between 1-4 eggs, colder eggs are male, hotter eggs are female. Even though these wyverns eat meat they are seen eating rocks to aid digestion and bright more oomph to their fire and abilitys. StormFire wyverns have the strongest known teeth because during breeding season male compete with females and thus tend to fight each outer using fangs and claws, and their tough razor scaled hides are formidable against teeth. Female Alphas tend to be more dominate then the Alpha Males. Females have straight horns males have curved horns.


-Size: 8-12ft (longest recorded was 14 ft)
-Wing Span- 10-20 ft

-Diet: Various animals, (will get anything that moves from deer, to bear, to even people if agitated), also eats rocks/ores

Misc:
-These dragons are known to be clean, they will stop fly to a shallow pond and bath like birds, this is due to Wing Rot- in which dirt gathers underneath the skin of the Wing Membrane causing the membrane to tear eventually leading to the wyvern unable to fly.
-Though they are seen with a normal three toed wyvern, they can have only two toes.
-Hatchlings are born without guidance and like snakes must learn to fend for themselves and fly, this sometimes result in many hatchlings gettign picked off as easy prey.
