woohoo! There are no words to explain how pleased I am with this... it was great practice for both backgrounds, water, and semi-realism since I usually stick to a cartoon-ish style. Anyways, this is a naiad; my favorite type of mythical creature! They are the freshwater counterparts to nymphs, and unlike their foresty cousins, they are just as likely to drown you as they are to help you! This was a lot of effort, but I think it really paid off. I originally got the idea to draw a mermaid after listening to the mermaid music from Pirates of the Caribbean, but I eventually decided it should be a naiad instead.
(click here for the mermaid music I was talking about; this is probably the only part of the fourth movie I like. The absolutely spectacular and ethereal mermaid music! I could listen to it all day.)
Also, I want to give a huge shoutout for the people who watched me do this! And sorry blackbird, I used fireflies, not dragonflies!! ^^" I really hope you all enjoy this, I'm really proud of it. PLEASE, don't be afraid to leave a comment or favorite, they're all appreciated!

Please don't copy or steal, I'm not a fan of art thieves. :(
