In a distant land, isolated on a chain of beautiful islands called Caork Isles is a species that calls themselves The Ahioko. These are a canine like species, which walks upright like us humans. In fact, they're almost exactly like humans aside their appearance and one little exception: there is no physical distinction between females and males. At birth an Ahioko is gender-less, being called "they, them" by their parents tell they're old enough to decide what gender they'd like to be. Some chose to stay gender-less, but others will chose whatever pronoun they like to describe themselves.
Ahioko's are a very intelligent and powerful species, though despite their strength they rarely use force for anything unless absolutely necessary.
Like any civilization, Ahioko's have ranks.
Alphas: The highest class of Ahioko's. They are the "royalty" of their species and as such are quite wealthy.
Knights: These Ahioko's protect both Alphas as well as all other Ahioko's - mark or no mark.
Warriors: Warriors are strong Ahioko's, though pledge their allegiance not to the Alphas but to the No Marks.
Shamans: A spiritual healer that deals with a form of "magic" to cleanse the body and promote long life. They are dedicated to the Tree of Life - a Tree where fruit is picked to create other Ahioko's.
Medics: A medicinal healer, who uses herbs, roots, and spices to heal wounds.
No Marks: Average Ahioko's, mainly middle and lower class. Only No Marks are able to choose their ranking later on in life, while others like to keep their shoulder bare of any marks.
Ahioko's have three main types of ears: Average, Long, and Folded.
Other ear types are possible, but not as likely as these.

Ahioko's bodies are their treasure, and most like to show their status by adding
piercings and sometimes clothing to their bodies. Items may be anything between shawls to golden earnings
or rings on their fingers. Some even choose to carry around weapons, though this practice
is very uncommon.
Unless an Ahioko is a No Mark, they will have some sort of tattoo on their left shoulder.
Each rank has their own mark for their status, and it cannot be removed, only covered.
In rare cases, Ahioko's will have a strange gene here or there and they will grow or lose things.
Some may include but are not limited to:
Horns, wings, scales, different variations of tails, longer/shorter snouts.
General Public
- You are allowed to own five Ahioko's total.
- Ahioko's may be gifted if given permission by staff member.
- Any changes to an Ahioko's lineart should be checked over with me
unless it is items. You are allowed to add any items you like.
- Illegal Ahioko's will be confiscated, you will be banned from
these adoptables, and you will also have your Ahioko's taken away.
>> Illegal Ahioko = Any Ahioko which is created by a user that does not
have the permission from me or my staff members.
- It is against policy to sell Ahiokos to other users.
- Names, personalities, images or ideas CAN NOT
BE RESERVED. I've seen way too many contests where people
believe that they can "copy right" (so to speak) an idea or
name/personality/story for their character, and that's just
not the case! It's not as uncommon as it seems for someone to have
the same idea as you for something, and if you do not already
own the adoptable then you have no right to limit the other user.
Don't be that jerk. Jerks don't get good things.
-- NOTE: Reserving a place is a different matter, and is encouraged.
Just don't exclusively "clam" a name for yourself. That's just unfair.
- Unless specified limits by staff, do what you want with your forms.
Staff Members
- Artists may only have four customs.
- Archivists, Mods, Admins, and Judges are allowed three customs.
- Every staff member is allowed to own eight Ahioko's.
- Ask permission first from me to make drastic mutations to
an Ahioko (even for customs.)
- No more than five runners up for contests.
- All staff should be mature and agreeable at all times.
- If you have any questions on your limitations/what you can't
do PLEASE don't hesitate to ask.
