Time has passed since Zira has been killed, though quite a lot of things have happened in the Pridelands! The land is lush and green, prey is plentiful and there is plenty to go around. Everything was peaceful, in Summer the lions would find a rock and bask on it, taking in the warm sun and getting some peace away from the annoying pesky cubs. In Winter, the lions would have to fight to survive, the elderly and young get fed first, trying to make sure everyone survives those harsh winter months were the prey migrate away from the lions and the wind and rain howl into Pride Rock. Nevertheless, everything was at peace.

But that was about to change. Some lions wanted to start their own pride away from Simba's pride. Of course, this led to confusion and fighting. In the end most of the lions either died or got outcasted by Simba after he defeated them. But the lions came back, this time they beat Simba and he gave in. The lions ran away from Simba's land, leaving a small group of lions.

One day, Simba gathered them together. He said that each couple would start up a new pride, they would start fresh, he pleaded that there would be no arguments over this and the descision was final. Simba decided to stay and Pride Rock with Nala, but limit their territory. They would have a peaceful life. Kiara and Kovu moved away too. To a better place.

You can decide who your allies and enemies are, who you make peace with and who you hate. You can throw battles, have cubs, make the most successful pride you can have, but what will happen in the first Winter?

First of all, I would like to point out that we must obey the site rules, including the new ones, I have seen roleplays with people in it not caring at all about the site rules, I will point some out, no powerplaying, Gary-sues or Mary-sues, fade to black when needed and I think this is the most important and misused one, only one picture per character and do not use fontme or images in your posts as that is considered spam.

I would be very happy if you thought about your characters and realistic stuff. I know the lion king is a fiction movie and all, but keep this roleplay as realistic as you can, you can't have pink fur or a stripey lime green mane, but I am encouraging you to use a lion king image. Please don't make your character all powerful and all-knowing, because it can actually get quite annoying. Lions can't bring down one buffalo alone and walk away unharmed, nor can they battle a group of hyenas and kill half the group with a swipe of your paw and walk away without a scratch, and wounds don't heal up a few hours after you earn them, but a few days, rarely months. Please join with one character as there is limited spots.

I would like it if you use your own form, do not copy anyone else's form, I would also be happy if you join with a detailed form as it shows me your litracy skills, please post your forms on the roleplay thread and not the discussion thread. do not have writers block in every post, since this is literatate I expect your posts to be detailed, I expect at least ten lines in each post, with proper grammer and punctuation, I don't like it when you join, then abandon the roleplay after one post, if you are away, please inform me or any other mods. Also put OOC in the [url]discussion thread[/url].

simba and nala
Ah, Simba and Nala, one of the most well known Lion King couples, best friends since cubs. When they grew up, they became mates, rumour has it that they are inseperatable. They are now into their prime years. Nala is a skilled hunter, rumoured to be the best in the whole of Africa. She is still capable of having cubs though, despite her elderly age. Simba is good at fighting, but because of his decaying age, he is starting to weaken. They have had a number of cubs, Kopa is their eldest son and Kiara is their youngest daughter.

scar and zira
Scar and Zira, believed to both be dead. But they are secretly alive. When Scar supposedly got murdered by hyenas, Zira appeared after and found him barely alive, but after a year, he was nursed back to health, but hidden in case Simba would attack them. When Zira drowned, she was followed by Scar and he leapt in after her once she was out of sight and managed to drag her to dry land. They are the parents of Kovu, Vitani and the dead lion, Nuka, they are trying to start a new pride and they are thinking of having more cubs before they die.

kovu and kiara
Kovu and Kiara are both children of royalty. The beautiful Kiara was born of King Simba and Queen Nala of the Pridelands and Kovu is son of King Scar and Queen Zira of the Outcasts. Both fell in love with each other by accident, Kovu was meant to be wooing her for the power, but ended up really having feelings for her. The two of them are still young and only about 27 in human years where Simba and Nala would probably be in their late 40s. They have been mates for a while now and have decided to start up their own pride.

kopa and vitani
Vitani was the only daughter of Scar and Zira, she was last in line behind her brothers and felt quite lonely most of the time as a cub. Kopa was the eldest son of Simba and Nala, he met Vitani one day and kept on having secret meetings with her until Zira caught them. She killed Kopa and took Vitani home. But Kopa wasn't really dead. About a month later he woke up and ran off. As an adult, he soon met Vitani again and they soon became mates, they are inseperatable now and live away from the other lion prides.

simba and nala
territory. It's the place where the first lion king lived. This is the largest territory in the whole of Africa, pretty trees stand here and there and there are numerous rocky slopes which are great for sight-seeing. Overall a beautiful place.
water source. A large fresh lake. It rarely goes dry and there is usually rushes and lillypads there. It is also a good place to find fish as there are plenty there. But it is quite deep and young lions can drown.
hunting grounds. A biggish stretch of land. It is lush and green all year round, it is also flat. The long grass helps to hide you, zebras, gemsbok and wildebeest are common, where rhinos, hippos and buffaloes are rare.
den. Pride Rock is Simba and Nala's den. It is huge! There are also many things outside the den, like sunning rocks, a ledge which you can look for intruders on, and the prey pile.


scar and zira
territory. A very very dull place. Not even a strand of grass in sight, many lions would hate to live in this place, but not Zira and Scar, they seem to love it, dead trees hang around every corner, kind of spooky. Overall, an okay place.
water source. In the autumn and winter, this water hole is practically overflowing, but in the warm summer and sometimes late spring it can be nothing more than a puddle. A risky place to live if this is your main water source.
hunting grounds. These hunting grounds are usually quite bare, but in the winter, the animals migrate to it. There is one big tree to shade them and quite a bit of golden grass to graze on, it is actually quite nice in winter.
den. This is a very risky den. It used to be a small, active volcano, but it's the perfect place for an evil lion! it is large inside and a whole pride can live inside it. Occaisionally a few rocks crumble off the walls.


kovu and kiara
territory. Kovu and Kiara's territory is very flat and kind of large. It is beautiful, boasting lush green plains and tall palm trees. It is nice enough, though it is popular with lone lions, whom can be dangerous. Overall a good place.
water source. It is a large pond. Prey would usually use this to drink. Many would call it an oasis. There are some smooth rocks and rushes in it. There are sometimes crocodiles though, when it gets deep, so beware!
