My fursona is almost pure grey with light purple inside her ears and white markings under her eyes, also she has a necklace with a silver crescent moon charm on it, and idk who or where her parents are because frankly idc XD Though I have to admit, I love characters with scene hair, piercings/accessories, rainbows/gradients, and floofy tails. It's just my taste in characters atm, but that doesn't mean they have to be Mary Sues. My fursona that I mentioned earlier used to be way OP and could do practically anything, but I was like what, 12? A lot of people with Mary Sue fursonas are probably still young and just don't see the problem with it yet. Of course, there are always exceptions and some are old enough to know their character is way OP but just don't seem to care :P

It really depends on the fursona, because I know a lot of 'sonas that are like you described but they're portrayed well, and aren't mary sue like.

Yeah, I love a good wolf mane myself, but I've seen people who take it to the extreme.
