What is a Kinvihne Dragon?

A Kinvihne Dragon (pronounced 'kin-veen') is a wolf-sized, tropical dragon native to small parts of South America and its surrounding islands. Kinvihnes are normally natural colours, aside from their exotically designed leaf-like tail tips. Their most recognizable features are their goat-like horns, leaf shaped tail tips and the strange stars that show up in the gleam of their eyes in the right light. With large, cupped ears, Kinvihne Dragosn have phenomenal hearing. This hearing allows them to detect the heart beat of a mouse from up to half a mile away. Their large eyes can filter in the smallest slivers of light at night, allowing them to be both nocturnal and diurnal. Kinvihne dragons are actually built like birds of prey, where the females are bigger and stronger than the males.

What's up with that tail?

Scientists across nations were bewildered by the strange tail of the dragons in the beginning, but closer observation in their natural habitat gave some much needed clarity. During one expedition into the Amazon, a group of college students training to be biologists saw a strange sight. They noticed that there was an oddly large leaf in one of the bushes, but they had chosen not to approach it, as it could be some new ivy plant. It didn't take long for a species of deer to come along, and once it bent down to graze on the leaf, the entire bush seemed to explode. As it turned out, there was a Kinvihne hiding behind that bush. The experience concluded that the dragons use their tails as lures for prey. The leaf even emits a faint, sweet scent that draws in a particular species of deer.

What do they eat?

The diet of the Kinvihne dragon is mostly carnivorous, but some have been witnessed snacking on fallen fruits from trees. Kinvihne Dragons are very neat and picky eaters, and will only eat prey that they themselves have picked out and hunted down. However, this does not mean a dragon won't accept old prey or prey caught by another dragon if they are on the brink of starvation.

What is their lifestyle?

Kinvihnes are very social animals, and enjoy forming family groups and other social groups. When a non-kin group is formed, it is usually composed of a dominant female, her mate, and 5-10 subordinate males and females. Pups are the base of the groups, so they at times can rank higher than the dominant female. Pups always eat first, then the dominant pair, and then the subordinates get whatever is left. Kinvihnes are docile creatures, and so fights rarely break out. Instead, they solve their problems by having a chattering contest. Basically, the dragon with the loudest chatter wins. This does not, however, mean fights are rare between two groups. Scuffles often occur between two groups over food, water, land, and other resources.

Kinvihne Dragon colours never clash or look too bright/neon. The only extremely unnatural colours on it are on its leaf tail.
Never touch the lines or alter them in any way.
Use lock alpha on everything (colour palette, base colour, eye colour, everything)
You don't have to adopt them out, you may make as many for yourself as you like.
You may put them up for adoption, but only here. Please don't use these to gain profit, I don't want them to be sold around like that.
I'd prefer that you not touch the BG or change it. I'll add more if I feel like it.
