Welcome to the Kitsuka Adopts page! Through this page, you can adopt these little critters.
What is a Kitsuka?
A Kitsuka is a crossbreed between a fox and a small deer. (Hence the name Kitsuka, a mixture of the Japanese words kitsune and shika, the words for fox and deer.) These creatures are generally rather skittish and shy, but can become very outgoing, loving, and sweet once they have time to acclimate themselves to new people and animals. They can usually be found in and near evergreen forests or living in small underground dens. They are herbivores, eating primarily ferns and grasses, but they also love small flowers and berries as occasional treats when they can find them. They have thick, fluffy fur to keep them warm, fawn-like spots, a tail that is a cross between a deer's and a fox's to signal the rest of their herd, small hooves, and large ears and eyes to help them stay safe and alert in the wild. They live in herds and mate for life. They also wear a small charm on one of their horns that denotes a talent, hobby, interest, or if they choose, a mate. It can function as a wedding ring if they so choose.
