Don't ask me for the stand down,
Don't ask me to give in
There's a war I will have won
As long as my soul lives
Even as I die
There's a fight that's worth fighting
Amongst the fear and lies
And even as my body rots
A toy beneath soft sand
My heart will beat in earnest
As it hears the marching band
Leading strong warriors to fight
The way I can remember
And as the bodies fall through the night
I can see the gates of heaven.


Poem is not totally true to the peice- on what the stallion sees. The stallion is hallucinating and believes he sees heaven. He is mortally wounded but has searched for years for this final battle. He is a new character, what does everyone think?
