Aster Foxbaers
Named for their bear like facial qualities, fox like body, and delicate flowing wings.
Species: Aster Foxbaers
Adult: Foxbaers
Babies: Kitbae
Location: Mountain Valleys
Seasonal: No, they hibernate in winter
Breeding: Spring, 1-2 offspring
Size: 15-62 inches from nose to tail.
Tails are as long as the body.
Weight: 5-8 lbs, light weight for hovering
Diet: Flower nectar, honey, insects,
and the occasional small rodent
Flight: Foxbaers don't fly, they hover.
Flying takes a lot of energy, they use their
strength to get them up in the air and then
they hover from place to place. They can hover
for a long time if the mountain wind favors
them. They are dependent on the mountain
winds to help lift them in the air. No breeze makes
them flightless, but this is rare. Heavy winds can
also make them flightless, but purely for safety
reasons.
Offspring: Kitbae can't fly.
Sometimes they can cover if they climb
up high enough, but until they mature by
the middle of Fall, they are flightless.
They have just enough time to test their
skills before winter sets in. During
hibernation they become fully matured
and may breed when Spring rolls around
again.

Aster Foxbaers live in the meadows below the mountains.
They are roughly the size of a red fox, only they weigh less
and are a tag longer thanks to their luxuriously fluffy tail.
Foxbaers have delicate wings not meant for lifting weight or
flying long distances, instead they hover, using the wind to
help lift them up. They can be inquisitive little punks, taking
an interest in anything that draws their eye and if another
Foxbaer wants the same thing, they will dance for it.
