A Susurro is a scaly, horse-sized dragon with enormous wings. These wings can carry them long distances, and are strong enough to support both the dragon and a rider. Other notable characteristics of Susurros include a furry ruff around their neck, known as their mane; their long tail feathers; the four pupilless eyes; and their odd, three-toed feet. Every Susurro also sports a huge white spot on its forehead. This spot will glow during mating season, and all coloured areas of their bodies (tail, mane, eyes and wings) become brighter during this time as well.

- Do not claim the species as your own.
- Do not steal someone else's Susurro.
- Do not make an unofficial Susurro.
- Please respect the staff.
- Don't whine if you don't get a Susurro -- there will be more in future.
- You may take your Susurro off-site, just be sure to credit me for the species.
- Horse-sized and mostly covered in scales
- Enormous wings -- wingspan can total 15 feet or more
- Tail feathers are as long as body
- Mane, tail feathers, eyes, and undersides of wings are all the same colour
- This colour is on the warm side of the colour spectrum for females, and the cool side for males.
- These areas have only one solid colour, no designs.
- During the breeding season, these areas become brighter.
- The shorter feathers on the tail carry the breeding-season colour all year round.
- Huge white spot on forehead -- glows during breeding season
- Always have natural colours
- Susurros carry three colours on their scales -- one is always white, and the other two are a lighter and darker shade of the same colour (eg, a lighter and a darker grey). The lighter colour is the base, while the darker colour is usually found on the back. In rare cases, the lighter colour can be on the back. White markings can be found anywhere, in limited quantities. The forelegs are most often white, but other areas can be white as well.
- The colour of the mane, tail, wings and eyes is not natural. This colour is usually somewhat dull. It becomes brighter during breeding season, but it is never eye-burning.
- Can be used to ride, but this is rare
- Has a snake tongue
- Has fangs, but also flat teeth for chewing grass (omnivorous)
- Mutations
- Iridescent mutation -- the coloured areas have a slight shimmer to them.
- Odd spot mutation -- the white spot on the forehead is a shape other than a circle. If a spot is affected by this mutation, it will not glow during breeding season.
- Reverse coloration mutation -- The darker colour is the base, and the markings are lighter.
