Starkeepers do not have a need to breath, however they can if they would like to. They can breath in any gas - deadly to animal or not. They make celestial noise to communicate and to make contact with other Starkeepers, and they eat stardust. They keep three stars they find in their transparent bodies, keeping the stars always safe. Their heads unravel in "strings" that slowly disappear into the sky.
