Weeeellll there's a story for this one. x3 I think this will be the first in the series of sketches of my fursona inspired by my life. xD The story for this one...
The neighbors' cat has been after the baby birds in the tree in my front yard. I've been doing everything in my power to keep them safe! When they were eggs he knocked two of them out. I managed to save the other two that were about to fall over the edge. After that I turned the sprinkler on the tree and the cat hasn't been back since. x3
So yeah, that inspired this sketch. I might actually finish it sometime, I rather like how it turned out! xD Do you think I'm taking too much pleasure from the drenching of the cat? xD
The long version: This past Saturday morning we found our neighbor's cat up the tree by our front door with two robins trying to run him off. We chased him away and discovered that he had knocked two eggs out of a bird's nest and they were smashed on the ground. :( I peeked up into the nest and saw two more eggs precariously balanced on the edge. I carefully pushed them back down into the bottom of the nest where they were safe.
We now had a problem. I had to be at my soccer game, and there was no one home to guard the remaining eggs. I had the idea of setting up the sprinkler by the tree. It worked great! So far the cat hasn't been back, and when I checked today the eggs had hatched! <3

this is awesome. c:
i love cats, this is coming from an owner of four. i love them all...
but, cats are extremely unpredictable. seriously. o3o
i literally think one of them is out to get me.
but, you look like you're having fun drenching that cat, so keep at it.
that cat can find some other food besides baby bird eggs. ^^

Thank you! <3
I agree with you there!
I mean, one minute you're petting them and they're loving it and then out of no where they try to claw your face off. xD
But I do love cats too, especially this one, his name is Sherwin and he's just the sweetest little thing.
I still love on him all the time, just not anywhere near my birds' nest. xD

Oh my gosh, my cat got into a bird's nest today too! QoQ Except the eggs had already hatched, luckily my mom got her out of the tree before she could hurt any. ;w; She was squealing at the door to get back out, haha <3
I have two cats and they're both serial killers ene
