Welcome! Because you are here, it appears that you are interested in the wonderful Nasua Lacertilias!
The NaLus are also on DA!

The NaLus were a species first discovered by boat, and now managed by wesleydog! The characters are very curious... similar to a canine in many different aspects. Some NaLus like to spend their time in the sunshine, while others prefer shady areas. They usually do not live very close to large bodies of water, and upon observation, they are more solitary than social and do not very often form packs.
The NaLus in general are a sparse and rare species, and very few people are lucky enough to capture and tame a wild one! All NaLus are found in the wild. It is illegal to breed them in captivity. Nasua Lacertilia are the masters of hiding places and don't come out when they know others are around. However, they are aggressive when they feel that their territory or food is being invaded or stolen.
When social, the NaLus are very loving and affectionate. However, much like humans, their personalities are incredibly diverse.

Physically, it would appear that a NaLu is simply a crossbreed between a Coati and an Iguana. The NaLu grows a long tail (which makes up one-third of their length in most cases). The lizard tail is bendable, but will not break off and re-grow. Once a NaLu loses their tail (for example, in a battle, etc.) it will not grow back. However, it's rare that a NaLu would indeed lose their tail, save by freak accident.
The NaLu has long claws and four toes, suitable for digging into tree bark and soil. They are omnivores, bug eaters, and also consume fruits. A NaLu will never be seen eating meat or vegetables, but they may give the occasional outstanding food a try; for example, honey.
NaLus are only alert and awake for 10 hours a day. The remaining 14 they spend sleeping and napping. A baby NaLu will sleep even more than this - a stunning 18 hours a day. A full-grown NaLu is 1.5 feet tall on average. All NaLus have random patches of scale on their long, stiff fur. Most often, the scale surrounds the shoulder blades and facial features of the NaLu.
It is very rare that a NaLu would ever have purely natural colors. Most NaLus have bright colors like orange, green, blue, pink, and purple.

The adoption of a Nasua Lacertilia will depend on the specific NaLu. Most of these little guys will be pay-to-adopt with set prices (most likely in CS pets, but possibly in DA points.) The rare few will be free adopts (the first few likely will be as well). Some will require only small and simple forms. Others may be impress mes, or may require a personality or story. Sometimes we may open up customs for payment. Best of luck!
