Cybernetic Tracker V2

Postby DoctorDraca » Sat Jul 31, 2010 6:32 am

The improved version of the very first true cybernetics aided Tracker Dog. What happened to the first is something you'd rather not like to know. Though this version is proven to be better, faster, and stronger than any normal Tracker Dog. Its sensors scattered over its body work as heat sensors, which send the signal back to its brain, thus making it able to detect heat patterns. This dog also comes with many other special features.

The first feature is the soundsensor on its head, which is connected to its ears. When a loud noise appears, sharp lines will appear on the screen on its head. The second feature is the cooling aid on its left front leg, which sends cooling liquid through its body so it's able to run much longer without stopping from overheating. Another protection from overheating, as the sensors use a lot of energy, are the three openings on its back, which send out steam at regular timeperiods as a breathing device, and suck in air after the steam has dissolved. The last feature is the screen on its left backleg, which comes with a control panel and power bar. The power bar shows the warmth of the dog, and when it turns red, the dog is in danger of overheating and it'll be likely to die quickly.

The small panel and screen form a small data transport device, as this dog can also be used to transfer data from one place to another safely. It can carry up to 32GB of data, like a flashdrive. The information can be unlocked via a code, if the code is known by the one on the other end of the transfer. This dog may seem invincible and powerful yet it's not. It's useful and has a good defense, but as it uses a lot of energy to keep its system going, it'll most likely not live past the age of 4, and it cannot breed. Also, when either of the cooling systems break, this dog's strength is cut in half. If both break, the dog will die.

Name you'll give it: Cyborg
Gender: Male
Reason you want it: Well, considering I had the same idea (mindreader, muahahaha!), I obviously have some interest in this particular design. :3 I love all of the extras you put in, such as the heat sensors, sound senor, cooling aid, power bar, etc. As usual, the tracker will get posted up on my character thread, and receive lots of art.
Any info you want to share about the dog:

Story;

Dr. Filosi was a stout man dressed in a pristine lab coat had a short, powerful hand shake. "I'm so glad you could come, Pandora. I think you'll love Dr. Nex's new design for this tracker dog in particular." He explained, his stride short and fast as he made his way down a long, tiled hall way. "This tracker is amazing, and even faster and more efficient than any other designed before it thanks to the new technology installed apart from the sensor bar and transmitters." The scientist carried on as he fumbled in his pocket for a key to the door we had stopped in front of. As soon as he produced the key, and slid it into the lock the door swung open with the sound of an air lock shutting down.

The room was completely clutter by lab tables, and there was even more clutter on top of the tables themselves. Chemicals, beakers, bottles, Bunsen burners, safety goggles, machines, computers, and lab coat were everywhere. It was impressive how much work was put into this one lab, all for a single tracker.

"So, where's the dog?" I asked as Dr. Filosi closed the door behind us and went about cleaning up the lab.

"Right over there, he should be powered off at the moment, but feel free to switch him on and let him out." The scientist replied, whipping his hand on the front of his lab coat. I nodded, and scrolled casually over to the large metal cage.

The tracker in the cage was absolutely amazing. It was lying in the cage in a sphinx like position with short, puffy, cloud-like stacks of smoke billowing out from three vents on the dog's back. The sensors covering it's body were blinking a soft green light every few seconds, and the screen across the face had a steady green line across it. The tongue was hanging out of the dog's mouth as usual, and this tracker had a bright green tongue which appeared to have bolts and different parts to it.

I slowly reached through the bars, and pressed the red power button. The tracker sprung to live. I pulled out my hand quickly, startled by the sudden flourish of movement within the cage. The sensors shone brightly, the power button turned green, the steam gushed out, the cooling aid bubbled, and the screen on his head whirred to life.

"The V2 even fully understands the English language, along with simple phrases in Spanish, German, Finish, and Chinese. He even speaks English, and can carry out intelligent conversations. Cyborg is also able to learn games, puzzles, or how to corporate machinery in the matter of seconds. Playing a good game of checkers is also a notable skill." Dr. Filosi added with a laugh as he unlatched the dead bolt on the cage door.

"Amazing." I murmured, watching the tracker trot around the room, taking in his surroundings. "How much?" I dared to ask, my eyes locking on the V2 tracker. "And remember, you owe me for killing half of my genetically enhanced sand shark by feeding them plutonium." The memory brought back a laugh from both of us, even thought the accident ruined three months worth of work in the lab.

"Just give Cy a nice warm bed and an oil change now and then and he's yours." Dr. Filosi said with a grin. "You have to sign a waver, though. Just in case." He said quickly, pulling a piece of paper and a pen from a near by table. "Just in case." The scientist said with a grin.

"Oh great." I muttered, but grabbed the paper anyway and signed on that darned dotted line. I handed it over and Dr. Filosi grabbed it straight away, tucking it into a messy filing cabinet.

"Great, he's all yours, but," The scientist hesitated before continuing, "We just need to do this..."

He grabbed my hand, stuck a needle into my finger, and drew a small blood sample. "Ow!" I complained, even though it really didn't hurt to badly.

"Just standard procedures for the V2, don't worry." Dr. Filosi laughed as he called Cyborg over. The tracker, pricked his impressive ears up, and trotted nonchalantly over. "Blood sample." He said bluntly to the tracker. Cy obeyed, and waited for the blood to be put on a glass slide and inserted into his hard drive.

Once the same was in, the V2 whirred and hummed like an old fashion computer for a second, before stopping and trotting over to me.

"Master," Cy said in a very robotic voice, "How may I be of service?" His voice was rather spooky, and eiry if I do say so my self; kind of like something from The War of the Worlds or CP30 from 'Star Wars'. If you really paid attention, though, it sounded roughly human, with just the right spark of life to it.

"We're going home." I answered, a smile stretching across my face as I stepped towards the door.

Cy dipped his head in farewell to Dr. Filosi, and trotted after me, a toothy grin on his face as well. Finally home.

Personality;

I'll finish later. :3

Name you'll give it: drone
Gender:male
Reason you want it: this dog is uniqe and fasinating. i really do love it! the design is amazing and ill put this story up with it in my charator thread! the sound senser would help me alot im almost deaf in my right ear, i love the detail and will get lots of art of it and not let it be forgotton ill give full credit in my siggy in caps lock. i still need to put the i love traker dogs in my siggy.
Any info you want to share about the dog:

personality-
energetic, easy to teach, outgoing, this tracer dog is very quik thinking and sharp tounged! he is uniqe as he runs fast, hears better than us and is my fave one so far.

past-
this dog has always enjoyed showing off to others his skill of his senses. he always used too be plain and just scaps of old metal till a young teenager, about 14 came and took in the pup. the pup was delicate back then and could not run as fast or have as good senses as he does now. the girl named him drone as she thought of her other old pet cat who sadly passed away after living a good 18 years. the girl added to him lots of devices that seemed to advance evryday untill he became so overweled with devices he actually had thechances of dying by over heating. the girl had to do somthing and fast! what could she do!? she had to be clever and make a device that would keep him cool when he runs... how about a cooling gage she thought...

she started collecting old bits of scrap metal, and glass that she foud throughout the house. as she collected them she sloly started adding it all to the pup. the pup of cause was asleep. as she came to the end of making her new invention she started adding the thing that would make it all work.... ice and frezzing cold icy water. ever since then they have lived together, comforting each other, surporting each other and most important of all.....
looking after each other whatever pain it ment.

story-
there was a sudden splash, and a round wet ball of metal lay on the doorstep shivering like mad.
"whats all that rubbish?" shouted a young girl walking along the road."you shouldnt litter you know"
i stood there bemused by what was happning. how could they call such an inocent puppy rubbish? i stood there as i wavered to lurch out, grab her by the foot and take her down. but i could not do that! somnthing rolled around in my head saying i should not. so i dicided not too as the young girl clamdered into the long lime green car growling away on the road vicously.

i picked up the dog and angrily shut the long wooden door. i slowly walked into the kitchen wondering what to say about the pup....

"NO!" mum bellowed coughing and slutering her tea everywere."not in you life, you woulnt even clean it id end up doing it! id even end up feeding it!"
"you wouldnt have too,i promise, ill do the training and everything!"replied racheal as she made her eyes almost pop out of her head.
"i remember you saying similar things about the stick insects, before they mysterioly disapered!.. in fact, what ever hapened to them......!?" shouted mum loudly.

here we go again, i thought wearily. (well i wasnt the one who said to take it for a walk)
"ok ill take him back on the streets to live a werry and horrible life" i grond loudly.
"keep it! i just dont want you leaving its mess every were!"
yay! right then and there i felt a slight move beneath my arm, he was mine, forever.

i woke the next morning sweltering beneth my quilt, redy to play with my new metal pup. where on earth! the dogs not here! were is he!? he couldnt of gone far hes only a newborn. i started my great search around my bedroom, looking under my quilts, in the cuboard, and out on the balcony, nothing was there, nothing at all. then i heard a growl from out side then a sweet, high pitched bark. i scrambled to the window to find my pup, drone. (i thought of that name in bed) he was running as fast as a cheetah! literally! you should see the speed of him! i then saw a red dot fluttering around in front of him. he was chasing a butterfly!

i stood still as i saw a glint of metal on his forehead, im sure it wasnt there yesterday....i screamed at him to cume and a screen that was attached to him, had lots of green lines appear,i wonder what thats for i wondered. when drone got inside he leaped up onto the sofa and started barking, i bet he was thirsty i got him a drink it didnt even look at it it just stared at me then i got some food, i was in the kitchen getting it out when all of a sudden he leaped out grabbin the box and gobbling it ALL up! this dog is one heck of an eater!

as he bounded across the room i relised he was getting extreamly hot, i could see steam coming out of him he stopped and gave a cry of pain. i grabbed the ice from the cubourd and putit in a testing tube that my mum gets from work. i strapped two on him. one on a leg at the front and one on the back. there! he started cooling down immidietly!

lunch ttime came and drone did the same as this morning, luckly id been to the corner shop and retrieved 80 boxes, yes 80 boxes of food! that should last a while, i hope. the cooling gage had now mysteriously sunk into his skin, but you could still see it. drone had now lots of extras that i sat hard and long to think about. his long backlegs

ill finish later when i have time do not judge without me!

its on the next post

the cooling gage had now mysteriously sunk into his skin, but you could still see it. drone had now lots of extras that i sat hard and long to think about. his left back and front legs have llong sharp claws that can detract for safty. i have also made lots of heat sensors, i scattored them around the body this will help if he gets overheated because then i can do somthing about it, and fast!

this morning our old relatives, uncle christoher and auntie clare, and there daughter whos 8 who i have never seen before are coming. they are hoping to arrive at 11 its 10, then the doorbell rings. its my uncle and auntie and.... its that girl who called my dog rubbish! ohhhh ill have to lurch out if she says one thing about my new pup.

As a matter of fact my mum said to go and play upstairs, with her! i found out the girls name, its laura, laura kealy.she went around my room touching everything.
"stop touching my things! what do you want to play? how about flush baRbie down the toilet?"
"dont touch barbie" she said as she pulled it close to her cheast."can we play with scraps?"
"whos scraps?"i replied.
"that thing in your arms"
"THING? you called drone a THING! thats it! you called it rubbish this morning too!" i sighed heavly as i gave the girl an awfull scorn. "drone, come here! good boy"i said changing my tone of voice too a light, friendlyone. i whispered gently into drones ear, "drone if she says anything mean about you snarl and grind you teeth and pretend to lerch forword."i gave drone a snack and he bounded and sat next to me.

"LAURA! ive been calling you for ages" said auntie clare as she pulled open the door.
"sorry mum" she sighed and then she stroked drone, hugged me and that was it. She drove off in her lovly lime green car and that was that, done and dusted. i hope i never see her again.

ill finish later when i have time
