Name you'll give it: Cyborg
Gender: Male
Reason you want it: Well, considering I had the same idea (mindreader, muahahaha!), I obviously have some interest in this particular design. :3 I love all of the extras you put in, such as the heat sensors, sound senor, cooling aid, power bar, etc. As usual, the tracker will get posted up on my character thread, and receive lots of art.
Any info you want to share about the dog:
Story;
Dr. Filosi was a stout man dressed in a pristine lab coat had a short, powerful hand shake. "I'm so glad you could come, Pandora. I think you'll love Dr. Nex's new design for this tracker dog in particular." He explained, his stride short and fast as he made his way down a long, tiled hall way. "This tracker is amazing, and even faster and more efficient than any other designed before it thanks to the new technology installed apart from the sensor bar and transmitters." The scientist carried on as he fumbled in his pocket for a key to the door we had stopped in front of. As soon as he produced the key, and slid it into the lock the door swung open with the sound of an air lock shutting down.
The room was completely clutter by lab tables, and there was even more clutter on top of the tables themselves. Chemicals, beakers, bottles, Bunsen burners, safety goggles, machines, computers, and lab coat were everywhere. It was impressive how much work was put into this one lab, all for a single tracker.
"So, where's the dog?" I asked as Dr. Filosi closed the door behind us and went about cleaning up the lab.
"Right over there, he should be powered off at the moment, but feel free to switch him on and let him out." The scientist replied, whipping his hand on the front of his lab coat. I nodded, and scrolled casually over to the large metal cage.
The tracker in the cage was absolutely amazing. It was lying in the cage in a sphinx like position with short, puffy, cloud-like stacks of smoke billowing out from three vents on the dog's back. The sensors covering it's body were blinking a soft green light every few seconds, and the screen across the face had a steady green line across it. The tongue was hanging out of the dog's mouth as usual, and this tracker had a bright green tongue which appeared to have bolts and different parts to it.
I slowly reached through the bars, and pressed the red power button. The tracker sprung to live. I pulled out my hand quickly, startled by the sudden flourish of movement within the cage. The sensors shone brightly, the power button turned green, the steam gushed out, the cooling aid bubbled, and the screen on his head whirred to life.
"The V2 even fully understands the English language, along with simple phrases in Spanish, German, Finish, and Chinese. He even speaks English, and can carry out intelligent conversations. Cyborg is also able to learn games, puzzles, or how to corporate machinery in the matter of seconds. Playing a good game of checkers is also a notable skill." Dr. Filosi added with a laugh as he unlatched the dead bolt on the cage door.
"Amazing." I murmured, watching the tracker trot around the room, taking in his surroundings. "How much?" I dared to ask, my eyes locking on the V2 tracker. "And remember, you owe me for killing half of my genetically enhanced sand shark by feeding them plutonium." The memory brought back a laugh from both of us, even thought the accident ruined three months worth of work in the lab.
"Just give Cy a nice warm bed and an oil change now and then and he's yours." Dr. Filosi said with a grin. "You have to sign a waver, though. Just in case." He said quickly, pulling a piece of paper and a pen from a near by table. "Just in case." The scientist said with a grin.
"Oh great." I muttered, but grabbed the paper anyway and signed on that darned dotted line. I handed it over and Dr. Filosi grabbed it straight away, tucking it into a messy filing cabinet.
"Great, he's all yours, but," The scientist hesitated before continuing, "We just need to do this..."
He grabbed my hand, stuck a needle into my finger, and drew a small blood sample. "Ow!" I complained, even though it really didn't hurt to badly.
"Just standard procedures for the V2, don't worry." Dr. Filosi laughed as he called Cyborg over. The tracker, pricked his impressive ears up, and trotted nonchalantly over. "Blood sample." He said bluntly to the tracker. Cy obeyed, and waited for the blood to be put on a glass slide and inserted into his hard drive.
Once the same was in, the V2 whirred and hummed like an old fashion computer for a second, before stopping and trotting over to me.
"Master," Cy said in a very robotic voice, "How may I be of service?" His voice was rather spooky, and eiry if I do say so my self; kind of like something from The War of the Worlds or CP30 from 'Star Wars'. If you really paid attention, though, it sounded roughly human, with just the right spark of life to it.
"We're going home." I answered, a smile stretching across my face as I stepped towards the door.
Cy dipped his head in farewell to Dr. Filosi, and trotted after me, a toothy grin on his face as well. Finally home.
Personality;
I'll finish later. :3
