What is a Solkon?
Solkons are fox-like furry creatures that take pride in their fluffy manes on their necks and long tails. They usually dwell in cold habitats, such as the tundra or snow forest. Their diet consists of berries, plants, fruits and other small mammals and rodents. Solkons also have sharp teeth and claws that are usually keep unsheathed and are used to grab a hold of prey. They are believed to be evolved from lions and foxes, slowly developing traits from both species. Solkons all have whiskers – a trait that can never be bred out of DNA. Tufted hair is extended from their ears, similar to that of a lynx.

Why this Solkon got its designs:
She saw the pollution coming.
It came in great billowing waves of grey that darted as if giant clouds where hurling upon the earth. The darkness choked the life out of everything it touched, and Mae knew she had to warn the other solkons in her soulk before it was too late. Thinking fast, she dropped everything she was doing to run to them. Her pure white fur rippled as she gasped for breath, straining all of her muscles to the point she thought she would collapse. Gathering all the solkons together, she pushed them towards shelter. She was the last to enter, but the small, cramped opening would not allow any protection from the pollution. Sacrificing herself, she ran back out to get a fallen log to plug the hole with. Without her filling the hole with her fluffy fur, she could easily keep the others safe by staying outside. Knowing she would die in a matter of moments, she watched the lavenders at her feet blowing in the wind. Picking one, she held it in her mouth and closed her eyes.
The pollution struck swiftly, and in a matter of seconds the gust had passed over. A lifeless white shape lay on the ground, still clutching onto the hope that the others had survived. As the solkons cautiously emerged from the hole, they noticed the sky starting to glow a bright white. A mist sucked up from the ground, pulling lavender into the air as it started to grow. The fields grew back in a bright purple haze, and a white figure suddenly darted upwards into the sky. There was a bright flash, and Mae was suddenly alive again and safely on the ground. Her coat had changed from white to a beautiful lavender pattern, representing the selfless sacrifice she had made for the solkons in her soulk. They all ran up to her, and since that day she has become a legend to solkons everywhere.
