An Okanode (Oh-Kah-No-Day); Or Oka; Is a canine-like forest dwelling creature.
They possess gems that cover their bodies; and their tails are split in two. Between
their tails are three orbs. They gather energy within the gems; using the energy to help the forest
to grow. Some may be dark and steal energy from others; but most just gather spare magic within
the forest. They trap the souls of the dead within the orbs of their tails. The souls are carried
around by the Oka until they are released during a full moon.

Oka's have canine muzzles; though they are a slight bit longer then that of an average wolf. They stand anywhere from 3ft at the shoulder; to a maximum of 7 ft. They are bulky, and made for running in quick bursts. They are omnivores, who can survive during hard times by absorbing energy from their gemstones. The gemstones themselves are present on the Oka from birth; and can be any type of gemstone. Because of this they are often hunted by humans for these gems; and very rarely get along with them out of fear. The orbs are further made of an entirely new material that is impossible to obtain,as the orbs dissipate immediately upon separation from the creature. They have a long lifespan; of around 70-100 years. They are not susceptible to most illnesses, but cannot survive long in a lifeless or empty place (Such as a desert or in confinement.)
They can wear any type of accessory; and will sometimes pick up things humans leave lying around.
They can have any coloring and marking type.
They can't have a VARIETY of gems on one Oka; all of the gems will be the same color;unless given permission to make otherwise.
Their orbs and gems are usually similar, but don't have to be.
Their orbs can sometimes be transparent and contain visible souls.
Sometimes souls will escape and accompany their Oka. These souls cannot speak; and are mostly silent companions.
Some with darker intentions will use these souls as minions, by forcing souls to combine to form a powerful malevolent spirit.
Some Oka's have Soulmorphs; when a soul becomes part of the Oka's body and they can take on traits of that soul;
This includes (But is not limited to);
Antlers;Horns;Fins;Manes;Wings;Feathers;Scales;Claws;Bigger ears;Shorter muzzles; (Rarely) a single head; Plates;Quills;Extra eyes;or antennae.
Though they have two heads they have a telepathic link that means they share a mind. However, it is VERY common for them to develop multiple-personality disorders, so it can appear that they have two minds.
They are generally lonesome creatures; but they can occasionally live in little family groups. They can be in relationships with creatures of any type; but can only breed with their own kind. Children will generally stay with their mothers until they are juveniles (Around 15-16 years old) before leaving to live on their own. Whether the family stays together is up to the individual.
