Personality Glitch: Caring and protective. Basically, It has feelings. But this boy also smart and protective

Use/Guarding what? "Well, I was built to protect the Laboratory. The Laboratory, it was..."
Extras: "... The Laboratory was where I was built. I do not posses the knowledge of why I was really built. I can under stand the Furry robots, humans call them the pet dogs. They hug these dogs, and the rub behind the dogs' ears, and do what some dogs mock me with. The humans give the furry robots Love. Because I have the glitch, witch the dogs posses, I know the outline of what 'Love' is. But, if I also have the glitch, why do they not give me these hugs and pets. Why am I so different in Their eyes. My builder sets me as guard to the secret Laboratory because I have this glitch that makes me different from the normal metal robots. If I am different From the dog pets, and different from the metal bots, What am I?"
*Sigh* "I do not posses that knowledge either. But, today.... I saw you. You sat on the snow covered sidewalk with me. Other humans spit insults at me. But you just tilted your head. You took a leather rope and something dogs wear and put them on me. The dogs wear these ropes and 'collars' and are walked by their humans. Are you wishing to be my human?"

"I was taken from the place I was built to yet another place filled with cold machinery. It was home with other things that had no heat to mess with my sensors. Having been built to pick up on heat and able to tell what is a living creature and what is not. I was given instruction to guard this place of lifeless creatures. One must wonder though, am I also to guard the one who does give off the heat signature and calls me by a name rather than a number? I have yet to decide such a thing."

Story: A stormy night.

"I was woke in the dead of night. It had been storming but the sound of a mechanical screech pulled me out of unconscious state. I pulled on my boots and took off through the scrap yard that was most of my property. Three men were dead while Ryker laid on his side with wiring and circuitry exposed. One of the men had shot him several times with armor piercing rounds. In such a down pour he would be ruined if I did not get him moved. Without thinking much of it I retrieved a pallet jack and got him on it so that i could get him back to the shop and do what repairs I could. I worked on his circuitry long into the night and reconnected his wiring. His tail light was out and i hoped that it was only due to him being in slumber mode. I stayed there in the shop that night to see if he would come too. Only time would tell as his circuitry dried rather or not he would be alright. "

Bionics view
"I had been doing a patrol when my echolocation sensors picked up on intruders on the premises and I made a 90* turn and went after them. I took two of the three intruders down with no trouble. The third fired a weapon at me and it pierced my metal armor and tore into my wiring and circuitry system. This only registered the intruder to a higher level of danger as i continued to advance in order to protect the perimeter of where I was positioned. Another shot pierced my armor before the human fell from the attack. His heat signature started to fade like the others. Without warning my body did not obey whet my artificial intelligence system was telling it to do. I sell to the ground and was not able to move. I knew that my power was fading as well. Another heat signature was coming towards me but I could no longer fight.
Movement? I was moving but my memory circuits went blank after that. When my power restored I was able to move again. My wiring and circuitry system had been fixed. I scanned the building only to proses that I was in the auto mechanic shop that was inside the perimeter if my station. The same heat signature that had came towards me before my memory was blank was there. The one who had brought me here and called me by name rather than number. As the sun came through the windows and my heat sensors faded to vision I could see that he was covered in grease and oil and well and cuts from having been working on my metal structure for what may have been hours.
In this place were many mechanical beings came to die, I had been brought back from the brink and given another chance to 'live?'
I have thus concluded that the one who calls me by name rather than number and gives off the familiar heat signature is indeed one that should also be under my protection."
