➟ What is Hacker Dog?

Hacker Dog is a canine-like creature with horns.
Their specialized lungs emit a hot vapor similar to steam when they breath out.
This cloud of gas appears to be able to "hack" into electronics and scramble the coding.
Some dogs harness this ability and can even influence the electronics around them.
They're the size of collies in most cases. Their steam comes out of their nose and mouth,
each dog having it's own color and scent to it. Their eyes no longer open: it is unknown how they maneuver about.

All Hacker Dogs have:
-horns of some sort
-steam or smoke
-closed eyes


In depth:

• At birth, Hacker Dogs are born with their eyes wide open. Over time, their eyes start to close more often and longer, eventually allowing a thin layer of skin to cover what was once their eyelids. It is unknown as to why this gene has developed nor does it appear to have any evolutionary benefits.

• The horns of HDs do not vary greatly from individual to individual. In general, a set of two small horns (with some variation in shape) are present. In same cases, ram like horns have appeared. Even more odd is the appearance of antlers on an HD. This is a very rare mutation as are any other kind of horn mutation.

• The fur of HDs is generally long. The fur that grows on the neck is generally thicker than that of the rest, this is because of how it grows. Growing in all directions, rather randomly, allows for over-lapping hair strands which mesh together to make a thicker tougher fur.

• A defining characteristic for Hacker Dogs is the steam that they emit when breathing out. The colder the climate, the larger and hotter the puffs. It appears that their lungs have evolved in such a way as to allow them to function as both a breathing apparatus and a central heating device. A bodily fluid that is secreted into the lungs from a nearby gland is then boiled within the lungs, through a chemical reaction with the incoming Oxygen which creates heat. Each HD has their own specific scent and coloration of the fluid, thus the gas as well. It appears that colors can be genetically passed as can scent combinations

• Their gaseous breath appears to have the ability to de-code and "hack" into electronics {computers especially}. This new development may cause other mutations in the species and gives new dual meaning to their name.

No Hacker Dog will ever be auctioned or "pay to own". These will always be free.

In most cases, it will be a simple several day contest perhaps asking for a name or favorite hobby.
Sometimes art may be a requirement.
Just don't let the competition steer you away from an HD you really want.
